Title: Computer Suicide
Post by: EarlHaz on July 21, 2007, 06:50:17 PM
Hello - won't be on LFS for a few days as my computer decided to try and kill itself this morning so has had to go in for some health care

So I guess I will be even less competitive than usual on Thursday :crying:

Hope whatever the glitches were yesterday have sorted themselves out for the rest of the weekend :byebye:

I have absolutely no idea what this thread is about but THIS (http://www.deadmen.co.uk/forum/showpost.php?p=197458&postcount=9) is the funniest thing (nearly) ever. All of it. 1st class.

Hi, could be a while more now - I have my computer back but dunno what they have done to it - lost everything and my USB wireless adapter now doesn't work and all my drivers are back to zero - I just don't know what to do, wasn't even told it would be any different :crying:

Of course I didn't take it to PC World - I have some common sense you know :narnar:

It appears that they backed up the files but didn't put them back on again - this apparently costs extra (I assumed it would make sense to do it as standard personally). So anyway, lose it for another night while they restore all my files and photos etc.

May have to just spec on Thursday but will write up the race report if you want :)

What's the difficulty? Does the pc work ok? Is restoring your backup all you need to do? It's not that much of a job, even I can do it.

I reckon that means the PC is not in your possession :g: If you have it, but have trouble with it, feel free to ask in the hardware section here and I am sure we will all do what we can to get you back on (the) track! :thumb:

Yeah I just wanted them to put the files that they backed up back on - I dunno, something about scanning the hard drive and then their comp with my backed up files broke or something - not sure what to do, they have all my files so pretty much at their mercy
