Out of curiosity and after talking about the dMw age diversification I decided to do this poll...

Edit: I could only do 10 diff. options, so that is why last is 56+. Would have preferred to divide all the way up.

Going by this poll it's somewhere between 28 and 32. :)

If you add the 15 + 9 (for 16->25) you get 24. 10 + 11 (for 31->40) is only 21. So there are more players in the younger end but if you add them all up you get an average age of 30.07yrs. (Assuming the over 56 members don't squeue the results too much).
It will be interesting to see if the double peak in the results merges into 1 big peak with time so the average age actually has the most players in.

Interestingly the last age survey we did a couple of years back gave, IIRC, an average age of 34 so it looks like we are all getting younger :clap: :yahoo::lmfao:

The averge age depends on how you work it out doesn't it?

Mean, Medium and Mode or something like that?  My son (yeah yeah yeah my son!) did this at school.

I'm trying to remember how you work it out.

I think it's:

MEAN
I think this one is where you take all the ages and add them up then divide by the total number in the survey.  This is hard cos we don't actually know each individual age cos they are in groups.  Taking the middle number from each group and multiplying by the number in the group is one way of doing it.  Then do the division by the total thing.

This would mean the average age is:

23.5 ish


MEDIUM
This being the 'middle' number of the survey and not a good way of doing it cos the middle has been pre-defined.

If you did it this way, the average age would be:

35/36 ish


MODE

I believe mode is the most popular number quite simply.  Which would mean the average age is:

21-25

LoL I'm sure you youngsters ;-) can correct me on my workings out and stuff :p

If you use the average value for each age category i.e. 12.5, 17.5, 22.5 etc you will have an average age of 29 (29.25...).

Aye, but that's because some clubs in the Netherlands don't check for ID's that well.
Must say that when me end da_Ricci were end 15 we did get in clubs aswell with some older m8s.
Now-a-days you sometimes even see 14 year olds getting drinks and all...
 
Ahwell, atleast there are more mature clubs where the youngsters don't go.

Ahwell, atleast there are more mature clubs where the youngsters don't go.

Sounds similar to DK. Some disco's don't check age decently and it becomes a teen-age hang-out. Some do check, and sometimes require 21 years of age. Latter being my fave :)

yup, it's certainly possible and wouldn't be too difficult but any hacks applied to the forum need to be re-applied whenever an upgrade is applied which is a pain so I try to keep any hacks restricted to vb hooks only. that way upgrades don't break them :)
