You're reading it correct.
I finally want to keep my word about arranging an Amsterdamtrip for -=[dMw]=- and decided to make this thing happen next year (2008).
I decided on this as I stumbled by accident on what seems to be a perfect location.
Remember that this thread is only see-able for Charlies.
I've allready got several ideas from a previous thread but I think I shouldn't plan to much for a weekend like this. More like;
-Sex Museum;
-Red Light District;
-Coffeeshop/Bar;
-Amsterdam Canal Cruise;
-HardRock Cafe;
-Torture Museum;
-Maybe laserquesting.
So if anyone has any more suggestions, please post them.
Age-restriction
I'm also thinking of making this a bit of Age-restricted; 18+.
As 18 is the legal age for alot of things in the Netherlands.
T-shirt
I reckon we should definatly make 1 for this occassion.
Suggestions made;
Banana Bar
Live Sex Shows
Pot museum
What about clubbing??
Heineken Brewery tour
Boomchicago Comedy Club
Are we talking a weekend? When abouts?
oh ya will we all fly into Schipol? (spelling sorry)
I'm thinking that the age might be too low for somethings...
What about the Banana Bar?

A weekend, around this time of the year.
My suggestion would be Schiphol yes! EasyJet comes somehow to mind.
But from a previous thread a suggestion was made about a P&O Ferry...
As said, the legal age for stuff in the NL is 18+.
If stuff like bananabar and such would be a suggestions I reckon without misses/gf's etc...
Great initiative. I may even come from Israel, I have never been to the NL.
Bro have you already looked for somepleases to sleep??????
You can sign me up:dribble:, atleast for fridays and saturdays and sundays i will have to talk to the misses.:g:
I think there will be a lot people that will want to come.
So a youthhostill wont be bad.:g: i think.
(is this the third time you talked about this???) :narnar::eyebrow::sideways::flirty:

I came across an ideal location in Amsterdam near the Vondelpark.
People that can get in the accommodation is 500 according to their site.
But I reckon it still should be manageble numbers.
Not sure how often I started about this but I did once say that when I finished my school I'd sort it (and you know I should have finished that allready 2 years ago).
Just as a thought i think i can fly from Bournemouth airport to Amsterdam. Are we going as a group or are we going to all meet at Pete's or a hotel?

The idea is you guys get in Amsterdam (by foot, plane, bicycle, car or what ever is best) at a hostell I'm looking at (what I get from their site is that they even have a shuttlebusservice to Schiphol).
Although my apartment will be ready next year, I live 1,5 hour away from Amsterdam and my apartment isn't that big lol...

First we need to know how many are interested in this.
But for now there is one location we know off that has enough room for us.
We are still looking around for ideas etc.
What about the Boatel ?
It's perfectly located (off Central Station) and is kinda quirky - like most of our membership (As well as pretty cheap) :)
PEN
I checked that one. I don't believe this location has alot of rooms.
I was thinking about this 1 Pen; Hostell (http://www.dynamic.holland.com/wsnsa.dll/searchsite/main.r?objid=9122&subid=0&nbtid=0&date=25/07/07&time=58117&pagetype=3&placebuttons=true&orgobjtype=16&ccontextid=NBBRGEBJNVXNKMWQPFOILKPQAWKUGH91157308934328874337342089629858114Hostell)

Add some of these inbetween the codes; *
I'll delete them in my post...
Nevermind DuVeL, i created a link in the original post. :D
Ghost. We can fly from Bmth.. If we book > 3 months in advance it'll cost us less than 60quid return.. Sweet..
I have to be honest guys.. This should be a Lads' weekend. Leave you're partner at home..
What about clubbing??
Heiniken Brewery tour is fun when stoned..
They have a really good comedy club but I can't recall the name.. got it.. Boomchicago (something like that..)

Allready had that written down as one of the BIGguys suggested that.
If it's a large group in total I reckon a part wants to go clubbing but I also reckon a part would rather go to a bar or such...

I'm sure it will be fine..... after all mate, you're the one indigenous to the place.
I guess it depends on what you're planning to do. Vondelpark is quite a way out of the centre - We normally didn't stay too far south of DAM Square - but that's because most of the stuff is contained - use Spuistraat and Waterlooplein as the outer markers.
Isn't most of the stuff you're talking about really localised to the east of Damrak though? Nice to be walkable from the hotel?
Anyway it's been a few years since I've been - we used to go every 6 months when we were clubbers/smokers. Can't even remember the names of the clubs we used to go to - still remember our favourite Coffee Shop though - called Coffee shop 36 at no. 36 Warmoesstraat (looks out over the Damrak Canal). That or Suzie's Saloon (off Dam Square) if you wanted a beer with it!
I can still hear the mantra of "50 F*** or 50 s***" from various parts - well that was Guilders so it must have been a few years back! Can't say I ever took the offer though.. :rolleyes:
Cheers

Probably even cheaper than that dude. We need to book early and i think ryan air could give us some good deals.
As I know how expensive a plane can be, that's why I want to arrange it upfront!

I meant 60quid for both of us..

I'm sure it'll be fun whereever the accommodation is. Just wanted to give you a heads-up that the 'entertainment' is severly localised.
long walk - or short tram ! :D
Either way as I said - you're indigenous to the place :)

Well, Stayokay seems to have 2 more hostels in Amsterdam.
This 1 looks interesting aswell;
http://www.stayokay.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=Herbergen.showHomeHB&id=36&lng=2
Public transport
From Amsterdam Central Station take tram 4, 9, 16, 24 or 25. Get off at the Muntplein stop. At Hotel de l’Europe enter the Nieuwe Doelenstraat, cross the bridge to your right and take an immediate left. The hostel is on your right after 100 m.
But from their site;
Open
For individual guests: open all year. For groups and families, we recommend Stayokay Amsterdam Vondelpark (http://www.stayokay.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=Herbergen.showHomeHB&lng=2&id=3).
Number of beds: 170
8-person room: 1
12-person room: 1
16-person room: 4
20-person room: 4
Maybe more interesting???
It's near this cafe (mapincluded);
http://www.theagenda.nl/v28297_de-doelen.html
you can put me in the 20 person room with 19 hot straight chicks :P
and penfold, dunno if you like heineken, but you might wanna encircle the Heineken Experience too in ur map ;) :D
Im gonna try to see, if i can get some vacation for this trip, and join ya all in making Amsterdam dangereous!
I always stay at the Hotel Winston when I go to the Dam. Its close to the station has lots of themed rooms and is on the edge of the red light district. http://www.winston.nl/ Booking http://www.st-christophers.co.uk/amsterdam-hostels Location http://www.st-christophers.co.uk/amsterdam-hostels/map-to-amsterdam-hostel
Is that at the back of the car park thing opposite?
