Title: Server Downtime
Post by: Anonymous on July 25, 2007, 05:12:08 PM
As part of the first step in our action to overcome the lag spikes etc that blight the gameservers there will be a necessary outage in the next few days (either saturday or sunday). There will be an extended period of downtime for the website and forums while the first set of servers are moved. We will provide more information closer to the time.

Many thanks for your patience :)

Just to manage expectations I want to reiterate that this is the first of a couple of moves and ONLY the forum/website will move. Game servers will follow in due course.

For us addicts - is that forum which was created last time we had that a major crash still up and running?
Would be nice to have some place to fill the daily quota with spam while the move is in progress :flirty:

OK guys n gals. The website and forum will move tonight (Monday) at around 5 pm. Disruption should be no more that a couple of hours however, it can take up to 48 hours for theDNS changes to propagate round the net so if you cannot connect for an extended time it may be down to that.
