Dead Men Walking

Ok last time we had a little problem with the setup of the bf2 server at the lan so things didn't run too smoothly. This time this problem will be sorted out but i need everyone to choose a battlefield game that they would like to play in the poll in this thread. Choose all games that you would be happy to play. The one with the most votes wins.

Can an admin please make this poll allow multiple choices thanks :).

Still I enjoyed that version alot!
Especially because you could drive a jeep or such and turn on the radio and select numbers. :flirty:
GMJR, better send a PM to BB or such, I can only select 1 thing so far.

Though I also just like vanilla bf2 with map packs - karkand 2 etc :)

My vote went for BF2 POE, but any BF2 of BF Vietnam would work just sweet :)

Tbh guys it is not even set that we will play any BF on the LAN yet (unless you set up your server yourselves).
 
There are loads of interesting titles that will surface prior the LAN

as the good Dr says we are still discussing options and im sure that when we get some idea of what we want to do then your opinions will be asked for.

but this poll is handy just to gauge the intrest in diffrent BF variants

Plain Battlefield 2 = Allright with me
bf2 mod- Point of Existence 2 = Also allright but haven't played it yet
bf2 mod- Project Reality = Was allright haven't played the latest version
Battlefield 2142 = Allright with me
Battlefield Vietnam = Could do also, got to get my CD's back from da_Ricci though.

UT3 = Seems to be due for release 28/09/2007 so could do
BioShock = Seems to be due for release 24/08/2007 so could do

Team Fortress 2 = Steam release as you said so could do

Crysis will possibly be out in time but is - as stated - a DX10 game
UT3 is a 50/50 split, the date is currently listed as 'sometime in november'
Bioshock is out and its awesome but sadly, it is not multiplayer.
COD4 - not a clue
TF2 - Should be out by the 9th on Steam or the 13th in shops (thats october, not november)
Left4Dead will have to wait till april I'm afraid as it has been put back to 2008. :doh:

As for the BF Varient I'm going to go with the Vanilla BF2 (cos its what I'm used to) and I might grab a copy of 2142 before I get there to... cos it looks good (despite what Dewey and Ranger say!! :narnar:)

If you you want future combat Enemy Territory: Quake Wars blows it into the weeds - promotes team work, different skills (ie you dont' have to fight to help your side) - huge interesting maps and intense fire fights. Its also probably cheaper than the 2142 Mod at £18 delivered!

Crysis is indeed a DX10 game but if the final game resembles the beta then there is nothing stopping you running it on DX9. Only MS are stupid enough to make games "Vista Only".
