Adressing the other suggestion from TL. Ill look in to more info on this obviously not everyone will b intrested in this but i think that there will b a few more ppl intrested in this than just play wow curently i think we will probably get 15 ppl for this.
what are ur opinions on this guys?
Ok imho this could be why bf didn't fly last time. Every lan it has been a factor that due to the hotel having an internet connection online games such as wow have been able to flourish. I wouldn't mind watching but i won't be playing as i haven't got an account and it isn't something that interests me. I myself felt a little frustrated when i couldn't play certain games as a small majority of people were playing wow and so did a couple others. I don't mind that so much as now i am getting use to it but its the few who seemed to stick to that throughout the lan and not try different games that does seem to annoy me.
I dont personally believe that WOW contributed to the downfall of BF at all, there wasnt a lot of WOW pld. there was only 5 ppl that actually played a run which took up about an hour. then there were some that spent a little time playing when there were no tourneys. most of us just used it to check in game mails etc.
Agreed Sheepy. WoW did not kill BF, it died all on it's own. In any case, WoW didn't wreck the internet connection - after all, it's a LAN and you're playing games on the LAN not the internet right? :P

I do agree TL. Ok, so what could we do for wow players? I'm new on the block with regard to wow but i don't mind trying to work out a few possible ideas or getting it ready to go.

I have a few suggestions :norty:
Seriously though - WoW will always be at the LAN... I think it had it's most presence at the last lan with the hardcore additions of Squ0nk and some of the ACL crew.

What games? We can't dictate what people want to play at the LAN or what indeed they want to do - some people play little throughout the weekend (myself included), some people do their driving thing all weekend and some watch porn all weekend. Each to their own.

PS. I like the idea of having a private WoW server for lvl 101's or whatever so can see a raid in progress - always been intrigued by one. Then all I need to do is to get Jamoe off his PC for a couple of mins so I can do a Leroy on him :)
