I'm glad it's the week after the LAN and not just before it
this game looks so impressive, i really wanna play it!
but, darn- im afraid my pc isnt good enough for this
will you buy it as soon as it comes out?
Sweet, ill have one! :)
Actually it does look rather impressive :norty:
PEN
I'm guessing I will have to upgrade my 486 pc for that , don't think I can clock it any further :eyebrow:
humm, what shall I get :g: is AGP geforce 2 GTS still any good? :sideways:
time to start savig...
to be fair the last time i got exited about a game was for stalker and after having it on pre order for nearly 3 years i was disapointed with how little time it has taken me to get bored and to come back to css hence i will get it probs in jan when the special edition will be about 15 quid
I just watched 4 new vids of it, and most of all it made we wanna play FarCry again. Sure it looks good. But, all the time you hear: "max speed engaged", "max strength engaged", bla bla bla. Let us play as normal (yet gifted) humans, w/o all these mambo-jambo unique advantages.
I heard there is gonna be a FarCry2, btw.

I gotta admit it, I've been completly underwelmed by the whole deal with Crysis, dunno what it is about it, probably the fact I've got no hope of it running, ever.
ye, im gonna be so sad when i try to run it, my comp isnt to old... but still prolly wont have more then 10fps :S
Crytek have not yet announced system requirements for Crysis. However, the kind folks at Crysis-Online.com (http://www.crysis-online.com/) have crafted their own set of system requirements based on confirmed information, interviews, and videos. These specs are not official and not confirmed and should strictly be used as a guideline. We should have the official specs soon, so until then this should do.
Minimum Requirements
CPU: Athlon 64 3000+/Intel 2.8ghz
Graphics: Nvidia 6600 or ATI X1600 - Shader Model 2.0
RAM: 1GB
HDD: 6GB
Internet: 256k+
Optical Drive: DVD
Software: DX9 with Windows XP / Vista
Recommended Requirements
CPU: Dual-Core CPU (Athlon X2 / Pentium D / Core 2 Duo)
Graphics: Nvidia 7800GT or ATI X1800XL Pro (SM 3.0)
RAM: 1.5GB+
HDD: 6GB
Internet: 512k+ (128k+ upstream)
Optical Drive: DVD
Software: DX9 with Windows XP / Vista I would also like to point out the following list of requirements. It was recently stated in a GamesRadar preview that Cevat Yerli, Crytek CEO, said that Crysis will be able to run on Ultra High settings with the following specs.
Ultra High Requirements
CPU: E6600 Core 2 Duo
Graphics: Nvidia 8800GTS
RAM: 2GB
HDD: 6GB
Internet: 512k+ (128k+ upstream)
Optical Drive: DVD
Software: DX9 with Windows XP / Vista This means that if you were to purchase a new CPU, graphics card, and RAM based on those specs before Crysis comes out, you will be looking at spending about $500, pending foreshadowed price drops on the CPU (estimated intel price slashes on July 22) and the graphics card (when the 8900 series is released sometime at the end of this year).

There is, Crysis is from the guys that made Farcry, but the Farcry title is still beeing owned by i think it was Ubisoft, who is working on a part 2 of it.
The demo is coming out before the actual game (which would be uusual for a high end system game), this means that not only will you get to test and still have time to pre-order, but hopefully means they're confident it will perform well enough or it'd put people off.
My bet is it'll run on most modern systems (anyone who owns a dual core and PCI-E graphics) or they'd hold the demo and scoop up all the juicy pre-orders from people who can't run it, but have no way of knowing.
Im glad to see ill be able to play it on Ultra High requirement muhahahaha :D

All I've got from the important parts of the ultra high requirements is the right graphics card....but that should change in 2-3 weeks time. mwhahaha
(the advantages of not spending all the student loan are awesome...I wonder what Crysis will look like through my HDTV?)

My compspecs should do.
BTW, KKND had a link that would check your PC if it's allright for a game.
Haven't got it here at work but at home but I'm sure someone else can put it up.

Here it is..

//www.yougamers.com also has a game tester on it...but I'm not sure about Crysis benchmarking yet. Maybe a little nearer the time (Bioshock came on it when it went gold)
Since game coming out post-LAN, perhaps the demo will be out before? Could be cool to see it on one of you guys' computers that can run the darn thing...

Here you can watch little movie where they explain several objects.
sweet!!!!
4 days untill the demo comes out!
:woot2:
Been playing the beta. I think I will enjoy the single player game but the multiplayer just leaves me cold; far too frenetic!

Crytek has delayed the single player demo for Crysis until October 26th.
Cevat Yerli, CEO of Crytek, said that “we are taking some extra time to make sure that you have an amazing experience but also we did not want to risk the release date of Crysis at this stage. To get the game into your hands by November 16th, we had to make this call.â€
To compensate for the delay though, Yerli said that the demo will come complete with the CryEngine 2 Sandbox game editor. This, Yerli says, will give the community “the opportunity to get familiar with the vast amount of tools they will have at their disposal four weeks before we ship, something we have always wanted to do.â€
