Title: Recruitment
Post by: Lucian on August 12, 2007, 09:36:03 AM
Do you want me to go ahead an update the Aszune forum thread to indicate we are recruiting one member per class with the exception of warlocks?

Depends on the encounter, but we tend to run with 2-3 prot warriors, a feral and a prot pala.  4 is a good number to start with if you include the prot pala and feral.  We also carry one fury warrior and one arms warrior, although these tend to be the first to get put outside the raid when we need extra DPS or extra healers in.

With permission then, I'll post this tomorrow:

Silver Oak Guardians are currently recruiting the following classes:

2 Warriors (both protection specced)
1 Feral Druid
1 Mage
1 Hunter
1 Shaman
1 Paladin (resto? prot?)
1 Priest
1 Rogue

Our guilds standard recruiting procedures apply.  It is highly recommended that applicants have a sponsor for their form. This sponsor should be someone you know and who will back your application up by vouching for your character.

The forum and some guidelines can be found at: http://www.deadmen.co.uk/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=152

Successful applicants will join part of a highly experienced but social raid group.  Our motivation to progress, but to have fun while doing so.

Good luck!

I wouldn't count me among those two if you're doing that Gorion - I'm worth a half, tops...

Other than that, I think it looks pretty good Lucian. About the class mix, I don't have the total knowledge to say much about it. But I would guess we could specify holy on the priest, as I assume we don't really need a shadow... Druid could perhaps be both feral or resto?

And just for the looks of it: it would be better if the link is to http://www.silveroakguardians.org, instead of that dmw forum address. Just say after the link to look under the 'How To Join' section.

Good work :thumbsup2:

Btw, when the post is made at the Aszune forum - we should upgrade the recruitment status on all classes (except warlock) to MEDIUM, so it shows there as well that we're recruiting.

Also, a small post here at our own forum should be made, so that the members know and can point any friends they have to the right place etc.

According to the raid rules, old members will still have priority over initiates - as long as the raid balance allows it.

I've updated the recruitment status to MEDIUM on all classes except locks btw.

a shadow priest is good in a caster group due to the mana regen, s will be needed later on

if we have 5 or 6 waiting outside for a couple of runs, then welle have to get 4 more and setup a 2nd group (if this happens continually, this will be needed anyhow to upgrade gear for gruul)
