Title: Big ship put to water (long load about 500k)

A project of creating a replica of the old ship Götheborg have been going on for 16 years in Gothenburg, Sweden. This Friday she was put to sea. These images were shot by my girlfriend. There were about 15 000 ppl watching at site. And about 500 million ppl via television.

These cargo ships used to sail to China and back.

Erm do they have sails? If so where's the mast? Or am I missing something vital here...

Well, if you look at the top 2 images you will see the problem with putting 60+ feet tall masts (but there will be masts). The ship is not complete yet but it will be very soon. And when it is it will sail all the way to China!

It is a ship from the 19th century m8. :) Vikings were doing there thing about 900 years earlier. :D

Nah, you can't fool me that easily.........it's just a bigger ship so you can get more in.......and with the price of Beer in Sweden as it is you'll all no doubt need a little extra pocket money!!  8O  8O  :lol:

I want the stenaline ship behind it looks a bit sturdier did u say 500 million or u mean 50 mil?
