Pretty decently geared for where he is at, but he could up his DPS massively and improve his mana efficiency if he changed to BM form his current deep MM build.  If he went BM he would immediately start knocking out some very good DPS with his kit, but as MM build he is several hundred AP short of being very good.

/agree with TL.

His gear looks pretty decent and specs can always be changed if needed.

I have to say his application doesn't look very appealing. "I want to raid". Hmm, yeah ok; some more info would have been nice. On the other hand he's wearing some heroic boss drops, so I suppose he knows what he's doing.

Is there anyone in here that knows a bit more about him? His sponsor maybe?

How are we doing on the available spots for hunters? Didn't we just have another one in, or was that one of those that disappeared again?

Btw, somebody should mention to Blackmetal that he needs to comment a bit on the applications he is listed as a sponsor in.
Not that he really is eligible to be a sponsor as he is still an initiate, but as he knows 'em, he should say some words nonetheless.

G really confused me last night on this issue, he said to make him reapply, i say just invite him, make sure that he is not under the impression that he will have a constant spot

basically we need this guy for the future we could do with 3 hunters in 25man raids. he wants to come to sog, if we keep an eye on him then i see no problem in inviting him. more active ppl in sog is only a good thing.

there are no real objections that i can see for him, hence im inviting him. we need to look forward more, we have to up numers.

We can't really blame people for joining another guild when it goes almost two weeks before they hear from us at all. If we see that things are taking a bit longer than they ought to, we should just send a PM apologizing for this and ask 'em to be a bit patient.

he joined another guild 4 days after applying and that is well within the time applications take to be decided

applied on 20th sept, joined another guild on the 24th

thats why i insist that he re applies

Then maybe change the application process?  We've had a couple like this now which seem to indicate a problem in delaying this long for members to to comment.

Why not
-add an application acknowledgement standard text (issued in game by the first officer to see the app, setting out the timescale for a reply, ie 48 hours in the below example)
-post in the thread to say the app is acknowledged
-shorten the member comment time to say 24 hours
-limit officer discussion to a further 24 hours
-in the absence of a clear posted decision on the forums at the end of 48 hours, authorise any officer to make a decision and invite or decline that person as they see fit

The major delays at the moment tend to be the 24-48 hours between posts on the officer section - and 4 days is a long time for members to post - let's face it if they haven't seen it in the first 24 hours then they're probably not visiting the forums anyway.

Just a thought?

Agree partially with TL - we could definitely do things more effectively.

However, even if you expect people to regularly read the forum, I believe 24 hours is a bit too short notice. I would at least suggest 48 hours for the members and the same (if not 72) for the officers.

Btw, what did you mean by an application acknowledgment? Like sending the applicant a note that his application is in the system? If so, a PM would be better, as you're not necessarily in game when seeing an application (and might not even have a chance of going online).

nice idea,

altough i think 48hrs in total is too little time, perhaps 48+24 or 24+48 (we dont have much member comments anyways)

i honestly think what we shouldnt bother with ppl that signup then join another guild inless then 5-6 days, something like that tells me that they dont want to join because they want to join us, they want to join just to get into a guild that raids anywere so they might get some loot - just like parasites

Most people want a home, if you set your stall out to only take people looking to live in *your* home then yes you'll be disappointed and have far fewer people than you need. People are not loyal *before* they join the guild, they are loyal once here and have experienced what the guild stands for and the way it acts.

@ Bob, yes a note to say it is in the system and this is how long the system takes and this is when you will hear about it.
