de_forest is a very nice looking custom map. The map is built up around a river running down the center of the map with forest on each side. There are some terrain and lots of vegetation that supplies with plenty of hiding spots. There are some landmarks to help you find your way e.g. an old mill on a hill. The download is roughly 30 Mb but I think it is worth it. One of the better "forest" maps that I have seen so far. It is hard to depict how it would play in TCS. It requires 12+ players for a good game I would expect.

It looks really nice and I think it's definitely worth getting it on Meathook and see how it plays with a number of people on.

i just watched this map and i agree it looks good. its quite large, but from the gameplay, there is no map like it so itll be a good diversion.
is it already on mh? :)

Played the map last night with some ppl on. All i can say is "holy ****". Its hard, visiual is 2% in the woods. All you can see is green and all you can hear is the water. And with bots its a pain. You hide somewhere and then you get shot to pices from some place.
 
But the overall, it rocks.:woot2::woot2::woot2:

Very nice map indeed. Personally i think it's been made more for visual reasons rather than gaming reasons, as the fps certainly roll off, saying that, considering the amount of eye candy the fps wasn't too bad. I played it in single player mode so i'd be interested to see how it plays in a true multiplayer experience.
