Half-Life 2: Episode Three will be the third and final installment in a series of episodes (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Episodic_games) following the 2004 first-person shooter (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First-person_shooter) computer game (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Computer_game) Half-Life 2 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Half-Life_2), from Valve Corporation (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Valve_Corporation). [1] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Half-Life_2:_Episode_Three#_note-0) It will be the last in the currently planned story arc, although not the end of the Half-Life franchise. Like other Half-Life 2 episodes, Episode Three will follow the adventures of Gordon Freeman (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gordon_Freeman). There is currently little else known about the specific content of the game, Valve has said that they intend each episode to highlight a major new feature or gameplay design element. In Episode One, this was the interaction with a well developed NPC (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Non-player_character) ally along with full implementation of the Source High dynamic range rendering (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High_dynamic_range_rendering) (HDR) lighting system. In Episode Two, the focus seems to be on creating large outdoor environments and battles previously unseen in the Source engine, as well as performance and rendering enhancements to the Source engine to accommodate multi-core processor architecture. Valve has said that Episode Three might be set in the Arctic base in which Judith Mossman was seen during a video feed in Episode One (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Half-Life_2:_Episode_One) and Episode Two (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Half-Life_2:_Episode_Two).[2 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Half-Life_2:_Episode_Three#_note-1)
Good, now let em hurry up w/ 2 so i can get round to playing that :D
Ah Episode 3. I wonder how delayed this will be. More importantly I wonder what awesome game will ship with it. (I hope it's not like Ep. 1 and come with something rubbish)
Episode 1 didn't come with anything did it? It was just a lot cheaper than a full game.

It came with Half-Life: Deathmatch I'm pretty sure (not half life 2) but nobody plays it. There are literally no servers with people playing.
Didn't it come with lost coast or was that separate?
I'm just hanging on for the Orange Box at the moment, still a long time until it comes into the shops:crying:. Not ordering it off Steam. :narnar:
