This should be interesting. :norty: 8 laps for the weeks races and I reckon 30 laps for Thursday. I expect a ****load of setup tweaking for this!

Yes indeed. I tryed my Westhill set last night and I think it worked ok, but I needed to tweak it more later. It gave me a nice easy set to drive with mouse, no burning rubber (unless i spin). The times are not so good as those wheel aliens but I think I manage.

With FZ5 I always have to brake earlier and easier with the heavy rear end or I start to dance waltz.

One of the interesting bits seems that even with the banking the 1st oval corner requires me to lift pedal and even shift from 6th to 5th gear. And with TBO class car I could drive it happily flat out.

C'mon guys, tell me how the race went. Also, could someone, who saved the replay, upload/send it please? I would like to watch it. Also, I noticed that the stats are missing for this race, is it because the stat tool has problems with time dependent races?

You asked for it! First off the server was kaput. With minutes to spare till qualifying I got my server running and we got off on time. Sulky and I swapped some paint just before T1 and I came off second best. Undetered, I set off in pursuit. Judging by the banter from the front runners the seemed to be a good battle going on. Doubtless someone will enlighten us. Comes now the interesting bit. The hour ran it's course and the timer turned orange, I crossed the line thing 'I've finished!'. Oh no I hadn't, it's not over till the leader crosses the line and as he was almost a lap ahead so I got a DNF.....Grrrr! However, lesson learnt :sideways: All in all though, a good race and I for one like the one hour format.
Oh the server came back online as we finished. :)

Server went down. Had to use backup server. No stats, sorry

Lemme see....

Start was ok. I had full fuel load and tryed to conserve my tyres, so I couldn't keep up with Deetz and Vobler.

After I had dropped to 3rd (I think), we had some nice battling with Jas for the 3rd place. That continued all the way to the pit stop (at lap 16?). Jas pitted first and I followed him to the pit. Jas had probably bit different pit strategy as his pit stop took much longer. For me the pit crew changed my front right and rear left tyres (!?) after they had fixed few small dents.

Jas dropped so much behind me he could have caught me only if I had spinned. Too bad in a way cause we ahd a really good race going. Deetz' pit stop didn't go quite as planned I guess. We were able to see 'drive through penalty' given him and few laps later again same thing.

Thanks to Deetz' excursions to the pit lane, I was able to climb to 2nd place and Vobler cruised alone in the 1st place. I thought I was safely ahead of Deetz on the 2nd place, but 2-3 laps before the end I noticed an orange triangle closing me fast in the mini map. I had to start pulling better laps fast. Luckily my car handled now better when the fuel load was getting small. One surprise was that I had to make another lap after the 1h limit, because Vobler had'n't crossed the finish line after the 1h mark. So I had to keep Deetz behind me for yet another lap.

So the results was: Vobler, me, Deetz,....then my memory fails.

Thanks!

Replay sendt to ur gmail adress Iron.

I qualified well and was prepared to try to keep up with Deetz.
I knew that my tires would hold if I adjusted the pit request correct and took it easy.I carried 80% fuel from start. ( Its free! ) After a few laps it turned out to be a close race. Deetz could not pull away from me, and I could not get into overtake position. So I let off a little and settled down behind him.

After abt half the race I went in to the pits for a quick stop. Deetz did the same a lap or so after, managed to come out in front of me, but he had already gotten a Drive through.

So soon I was alone and controling it in. Good one.... :-)

A good race for me. I found myself in 4Th after the first lap and just tried to keep pace with Aquilifer. The problem was to keep up i was driving at 110%. I was sliding and skimming walls far to often which hammered me when I hit the pits giving me lots of damage and a tyre change for 34 secs. I was very happy with my fuel calcs for a 1 hour race finishing with 3% in the tank more luck than judgment :)
