I was thinking that I've never driven those timed (1h, 2h, etc) races online. I did it once against AI offline. So what would you say if next thursday instead of 30 lap race we tried 1 hour race?
The difference to the lap limited race isn't so large as they have lasted close to 1h anyway. That way the fuel calculation is bit trickier as you don't know exactly how many laps you need to make and you have put bit more extra.
If you don't know, it works so that the race ends when the first racer crossess the finish line after 1h. Those other players have to cross the finish line too after that. Results sorted by 1. laps done 2. total time. Simple.
So what do you say? (comments, opinions) :g:

I would love to try it. I am not sure if I understand what you mean about how to sort out the standings. LFS itself supports 1 hour races. One just selects 1 hour duration and LFS sorts it out when the time is up.

I think you both have the same understanding of how it works.
It's a case of two foreign speakers using a third language to communicate. You both make a wonderful job of it. Kudos.:thumbsup2:
EDIT: Did that sound patronising? Wasn't meant to. :)

Yes, I know LFS supports it. That's why I suggested it.
I simply tryed to explain that if 2 persons have the same amount of laps, the one doing them faster gets a better place.
But I'm sure anybody understands how it works, so just forget what I tryed to say.
im up for it will be practising tonight or failing that tomorrow

Sounds good, although I won't be there at the long race, I'll be working. :(

Hand your notice in and get a different job!
Good idea. It does add to the enjoyment as estimation of average lap time, pit stop times, tyre changes etc ( on current combo) will have to be calculated. I'm for it.:thumb:
