Title: dMf introduces milestone tags!
Post by: delanvital on October 07, 2007, 12:01:52 PM
In an effort to increase the focus on (well, and awareness of) the great amount of folding activity going on in dMf, rather unseen to the rest of dMw, we introduce the dMf tag. The tag is an eleven-step journey towards becoming a master folder :wink:

If you fancy showing your folding effort/promoting dMf, you can add the appropriate tag to your signature. The tags are as follows:

Points achieved:
(http://77.108.135.49/fahtags/ms1.jpg)

(http://77.108.135.49/fahtags/ms2.jpg)

(http://77.108.135.49/fahtags/ms3.jpg)

(http://77.108.135.49/fahtags/ms4.jpg)

(http://77.108.135.49/fahtags/ms5.jpg)

(http://77.108.135.49/fahtags/ms6.jpg)

(http://77.108.135.49/fahtags/ms7.jpg)

(http://77.108.135.49/fahtags/ms8.jpg)

(http://77.108.135.49/fahtags/ms9.jpg)

(http://77.108.135.49/fahtags/ms10.jpg)

and for the super folder reaching 1 million points (of which we have one coming up in not so long time :wink:):

(http://77.108.135.49/fahtags/ms11.jpg)

Delanvital has also kindly done us a 2 Million + badge :)

(http://77.108.135.49/fahtags/ms12.jpg)

If you want to add your milestone award to your signature then use this code ...

[url=http://www.deadmen.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=2727][imglink]http://77.108.135.49/fahtags/ms1.jpg[/imglink][/url]Remember to change the image filename to the one for the award you are entitled to.

I added the following to my sig so that people can click on it and find out more about dMf:

Is it possible to use some kind of array feature in the signature? So that I could have the dMf image on the right side of the rest of my sig rather than under it? Just to avoid it getting any higher than necessary?

Like this in some way:

* Threbrilith (http://armory.wow-europe.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Aszune&n=Threbrilith) - Nightelf Druid * Thiril (http://armory.wow-europe.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Aszune&n=Thiril) - Gnome Mage * . . . . . . . dMf-image here
Officer and proud member of the Silver Oak Guardians   . .dMf-image here
-=[dMw]=-Bob
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .dMf-image here

You could do it with tables but unfortunately we don't allow HTML in sigs (to prevent nasty people from screwing up our forums)

Yeah, was what I thought. Just didn't know if the phpBB code had any table features (like similar to the {i}{img} etc...

Guess it'll have to be Delan's suggestion and make the rest of the sig an image as well... I'll see what I'll end up with :)

[IMGA=right]http://www.tsuriai.dk/ms6.jpg[/IMGA]already done, like this:

bbcode is {IMGA=right}http://www.tsuriai.dk/ms6.jpg{/IMGA}

[IMGA=left]http://www.tsuriai.dk/ms6.jpg[/IMGA]or left aligned:

{IMGA=left}http://www.tsuriai.dk/ms6.jpg{/IMGA}

is that what you require?

Put it in first line of sig :)

Cheers Gandy, just what I wanted :thumbsup2:
Quote from: BlueBall;209148Put it in first line of sig :)
Just one thing to add: it also has to be placed before any text you might have on the first line, cause if you place it after the text, you'll get an empty line added.

Now I just have to pick up on that folding. I honestly thought I was at least qualified for that first milestone tag, but obviously not :blush2:
When I come to think about it, my server back at home has been dead for some months, but now I got it set up on my school computer, so it'll be running 24/7 on this one from now on!

We most be able to host them in the gallery I reckon.

Yes, I am hosting them. Seems the server is down, can't reach via FTP. I will look into it.

It will take a day or two before they are online again. We could take the opportunity to let dMw host them, when they get back online?

Yes,

We'll host them

We also need to sort out some issues as they're not working right now.

The signature tags are back online now, however, the tags have now been moved to a dMw server. This means, that you have to update your signature. The post above (top post) with the images has been updated to reflect the URL change. The URL to the images, for those who'd just like that, is:

http://77.108.129.45/fahtags/msX.jpg where the X is the level you have, ranging from 1-11.

A good chance to see if you have reached a new milestone since you last checked? :rolleyes::D

The image shows up, but when you add the url for the Folding page in, the picture doesn't link to it. :g:

Not sure I follow. What you say is that the link, attached to the new image location, does not direct to fah? If so, hm, not sure that is related to the image change?

When you clicked on the picture it used to link to our Folding page on the forum, but it doesn't anymore - it opens the actual image in a small window. I'm not sure why that is though.

I think it has to do with the way the forum now handles images? Gandy?

That no longer works. I'm assuming a VB patch has changed the way images are handled. I'll look into it.

Now fixed but you have to use the following code which contains a new tag:

[url=http://www.deadmen.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=2727][imglink]http://77.108.129.49/fahtags/ms1.jpg[/imglink][/url]

Remember to change the image filename to the one for the award you are entitled to.

For what it's worth, I did mine last night using

[url=http://www.deadmen.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=2727][imga=right]http://77.108.129.45/fahtags/ms1.jpg[/imga][/url]
And it worked just fine. Oddly after I had done a 'preview sig' the 'url' bits of that code vanished from the actual sig, leaving just the img link, but I saved changes and it still seemed to work as a link to the right thread.

All

Because of the change of IP address on the server you need to substitute 77.108.129.49 (new) for 77.108.129.45 (old)

Apologies for causing this hassle but we are separating all non-gaming functionality away from the 77.108.129.45 address.

delanvital said it was Zoot (I'm guessing Zootoxin) who made the earlier badges ....

yeah - a 2 mil badge would be kool :)

But if ya can get it made - ya might should get a 3 million badge at the same time coz I think somebody is going to be there in about 100 days :showoff:

Will do. Any canny ideas for title(s)? In the past 1 million was basically out of reach, so the title became master folder. Now GPU-folding has almost ridiculed the up until then herculian effort :) Monster folder? Mega folder? Super folder? Bad mofo folder...

yeah - been thinking about the badge titles ......

Everything beyond Master Folder sounds ....... well, silly almost.

Grand Master Folder
Supreme Folder
Legendary Folder

Might be an idea to just stick with the one title and just vary the number of points :flirty:

I've noticed a lot of broken milestone images and it's because of the recent IP address changes. I've update the first post but basically change ...

77.108.129.49/

to

77.108.135.49/

in your sigs to fix the links.
