He's hoping he goes back to the drugs and they knock a good few years off him or in his sober state he gets no media attention. I think the first is the more likely outcome considering that track record.
Anyone who is only famous for being an adict shouldn't be famous, it's another case of the media catering for the lowest common denominator, gossipers.
