Title: Samsung monitor owners
Post by: Doorman on October 16, 2007, 01:15:04 PM
If you have bought, or are going to buy a Samsung monitor, feel good. :D
I've had a SynchMaster 913n since May '05 and recently it started playing up. It would sometimes show just a black screen with a floating message saying 'Not optimum mode. Recommended mode 1280x1024' Nothing worked except to unplug it and replug(?) it.
I called Samsung support on Thursday last and the guy told me to check this and check that and if no change call him back next day. This I did (Friday) and he said 'Okey dokey, we'll send you a replacement withing 5 working days' Tuesday morning (this morning) at 10am the new one arrived! Now I'm mightily impressed with that. (I don't use the double thumbs up lightly)

Very good to hear, second time I heard a similar story.

King's Samsung monitor was having some problems aswell and he got a replacement untill his screen was fixed. They even picked up the screen and brought it back when it was fixed.

Also one of the reasong I wanted a Samsung screen. :flirty:

That's impressive indeed!   Mental note has been made as I've been drooling over their LCD TVs recently........wonder if they'll be a snice with those? :norty:

My m8 bought a 40" Samsung telly a week ago, sadly when i arrived it had 4 dead pixels in a grp, so we called Samsung and asked if they could do anything, we got a little sad when the dude responded that Samsung's normal dead pixel warranty on that series didnt go into affect until you had 5, but then to our delight he said: but wth we will send a replacement anyway, we want our costumers to be happy :D
I love you samsung

Oh I have to remember that one.. I've been very pleased with my Samsung SyncMaster 913N, which I believe I've also had since 2005 (memory fails me about such things), but when my brother upgraded his CRT to a 22" WideScreen, I decided I had to top him with a 24" at some point.. That 245B looks like a good candidate (albeit a tad expensive, its certainly cheaper than a 30" - unfortunately)
