I really look forward to the two lans each year and meeting all of you, drinking and eating too much and of course playing games.
This lans success story seemed to be COD4 - I haven't enjoyed a new game this much in a long time - I think it could be the new BF2! :boxing: I also enjoyed TF2 but nowhere near as much - and I apologise for our team not turning up and playing the best of 5!! Seems most of them thought it was just 1 round - it wasn't bad sportsmanship honest - paddy got lost in the toilet - you guys have obviously played it a lot more than we have though (it was my first game). Next time we'll give you a better game over a few rounds.
Personally I didn't think it was a good idea getting hotel staff into the room and then showing them porn - not a killjoy but if some of them are offended and tell the hotel management they might stop us using the room - but what do I know? (erm not much) :rolleyes: On this point it might be worth ensuring the doors are locked, I'm also thinking about the 2 drunks who appeared later?
Thanks for putting me next to Ninja, everything seemed fine until he started on the vodka and obviously can't hold his drink - I felt sorry for his mouse and keyboard took a right hammering with the obligatory rants thrown in - gave us all a laugh anyway :D

Had a blast at CoD4 aswell.
As for the showing the girl from the reception the pr0n, wasn't my idea but she liked it. And she was allready on the look out for new work. :flirty:

In future its probably best not to invite anyone into the LAN room who you've just met at the bar. I know 1 was staff, but the other 3 were not and as trusting as I am its not just my equipment in there.
But it was amusing :)

Some guy who is working in March or surroundings and staying at the hotel was making a bit of a fuss saying that;
"You isz stealin my internetz"
"Now me kant sent worksheet"
"Now wife upsait an angry"...
He kept saying that for more then 10 times or such.
BTW, spellingmistakes were made on purpose as the guy was really wasted. Atleast the guys Irish friend wasn't wasted yet and he helped cooling the guy down (by giving him and us beer).
We told them that if they wanted a connection they could have just asked us or the hotel. Seems the hotel messed that up as they seemed to have lost they're wirelessconnection (which according to the girl from the desk and the guy behind the bar was really pants anyway).
Ahwell, Pen just got a finger pointed at him various times as the drunk dude seemed to account him personal for "stealing his internetz".

I think Pen said something like, "Don't worry we won't be coming back here again" and the big swedish guy took offense , started finger waving in Pens face. He said something like, " I am not stupid, you think I am stupid, but you are stupid man, rar rar rar".
Would have laughed but I was stuck in between him and Pen, he was leaning right over me in Pens face.

I think what really riled him was that he said something like "What does your wife say when you come here?" to which my reply of "Have a nice weekend" obviously wasn't the right answer.
It was irritating at the time - particularly so as I'd had a good dosage of Talisker by them. I do remember that one of his mates came up and said that they were warned about the net beforehand anyway etc.
Aww well - all part of life's rich tapestry. Just a shame that TL missed it - he enjoys a good verbal exchange.
