Title: linking up 2 computers

i currently have a computer and a laptop and was wondering how i would go about setting them up to play games together and so that the laptop could share the internet connection if thats possible. basically i would like any advice or tips and whether you think its too complicated for me (a moron) to do.

What os are you using? win98/XP?
How do you currently connec t to the internet, Modem/Cable/Adsl?

Basically you'll need to have a network card in each machine and then connect them with a cross over cable, but you may alreday be usig your network card as your internet connection depending on how you connect. This is not a problem as you can run 2 or more network cards.

yep sorry i should have given you more details. this computer is connected to the internet with a blueyonder cable modem, and is running windows 98 SE. the laptop is running windows xp.

i have 2 network cards plugged into this pc now, one connects to modem other to laptop with the crossover cable and now im stuck  :oops:

This site (http://www.wown.com/) contains loads and loads of infomation about networking different versions of windows together. You should be able to find all the infomation you need there
