Princess Diana at Number 3?! :ranting2: I'm sorry, but i've never been one to get behind the Diana worship. People get killed in car accidents every day. A good proportion of them are probably better people than she was. Get. Over. It. I didn't dislike her, I just never understood the obsession people have with her since her death. I'm sorry for her family that she's dead, but I never understood my friends who said they cried when they heard the news. Why? Did you know her? No, you didn't. Plenty of people get killed in far worse circumstances but because they're not already famous through chance of birth or marriage nobody cares a toss.

Grrr...

Also, sorry to be pedantic but number 100 on the Worst List? 'Atomic Kitten' is not a single person, and as the list is 100 Worst Britons and there are 100 entries that would imply that each entry should be only 1 person.

Pedant mode off.

97. Sir Tim Berners-Lee (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tim_Berners-Lee) (born 1955 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1955)), Internet (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet) pioneer and inventor of the World Wide Web (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_Wide_Web)

Huh, surely he should be higher? well at least in my world he is.

yeah, Diana should be on the "worst" list, for simply not going away.
And Professor Stephen Hawking? Why does he speak with an American accent then? :narnar:

Sorry, but any top 100 list which doesn't include one of our nations greatest sporting heroes (http://www.thebubbleburst.co.uk/bb.php?entry=Eddie%20The%20Eagle%20Edwards), doesn't deserve the webspace it occupies.

The national obsession with the Princess of Wales was mostly a media creation. It's a tragedy when a person dies in such a pointless way and leaves two young sons behind. But the idea that the whole nation went into some kind of mass hysteria was frankly rubbish. I guess it sold a lot of newspapers though, which was the important thing. To be honest I was more shocked when Jill Dando got shot, plus I fancied her far more than Diana.

Also someone seems to have put John Lennon on the wrong list. They should check more carefully before they publish these lists. Mistakes like that are just sloppy.
