Yes.
The game is allready posted to my adress.
Was allready checking servers for it (BIG and TG).

I would play if I had the game and enough dMw'ers played it too...and if enough dMw'ers were playing I would get it.

I'm still a bit disappointed that we don't play TF2 a bit.

I've had about 10 mins messing about for me money.:sideways:

Santa has TF2 on his list for me.

Wednesday-evenings for me Blunt although the last couple of weeks I was to busy with work and yesterday-evening we celebrated Saint Nicolas with the family (after that watched a few parts of Heroes).

I voted yes, as long as there are enough dMw'ers playing.  May well get it for my birthday (just after Christmas)

the [big] guys have a server up already if you go to the website the details are there. the servers are called alphanetworks on the ingame server list.
 
i would play on the dmw one as well

If we are going to have a cod 4 server we need cod 4 specific admins and it needs to be public.

id voluteer to admin as i already help admin the [big] servers and have the hlsw program installed

Its something to think about... our 2 servers [BIG] are jam packed and they are a lot of fun, there are usually at least a few of us kicking around on most nights (I usually get on for an hour or so around ten, as does Dewey) it would be great to see some of you guys on it.

If you lot got a server up I'd definitely play on it a few times a week.

Already got the game, and thought it was ace. I have various things on a lot of nights, but if I was free and looking for a game i'd certainly play CoD4 if there was a dMw server knocking about. Same goes for TF2 though, i'm just normally busy on Wednesdays and i never see anyone on it any other days.

Aye that about sums it up.

Although TF2 is a bit cartoony - I would have like to have had more of a bash at it.

I still think Wed nights may work if we can get enough of the gang together.

Good to see Duvel on the server last night 9th Dec, its a shame comms are more difficult to use in game than vent though .

Cheers Dewey. I've posted this morning on your forums aswell. Sorry for me getting on/off, anoying BSOD-problem.
True about comms. Might setup Ventrillo then aswell as soon as I have my CoD4 working properly (read; computer working without any BSOD's).
Unfortunatly the guns I had unlocked during the LAN didn't work for my new copy of CoD4, starting from private again...

i voted no cos i hate all cod games and think they should burn lol :)

COD4 is in my opinion a counter strike beater! Lots of great defuse maps and domination maps.
 
 i have it on my xbox and was wondering if anyone else fancies playing together? If there was a DMW server i'd consider buying the pc version, though my pc is slowly dying :-(

A few months on and I'm no longer the big fan of COD4 as I was, I still like to play every now and again but for team play you still can't bean BF2 I was sorely missing vehicles as well.

Although I do miss knifing people so easily and the killcam was a great feature.

i was ordered to get it by my friends but ive got the xbox version sorry :S

I've allready reached level 55 but got to say that ll the servers out there are just for peoples personal score.
Haven't come upon any good publicservers yet...
I've got the PC-version though...Might be a good game again for next LAN as it's fast and can be fun.

Look for the AON servers, they have two in London. reasonably nice bunch.

Allready tryed connecting to the TG-servers but sometimes I can't seem to find them.

Hi guys...

After the BF2 server emptied last night, Paddy, Magnus, DJ and I experimented with our CoD4 server.

Magnus restricted the numbers and we played a few games, and I have to say LESS is MORE!

It was a totally different game with smaller numbers - there was more space to maneuver without tripping over other people, and I'd even say things started to get a little more sneaky and tactical.

I actually really enjoyed it, Paddy and I paired up and did some teamwork. It was cool...Not the frenetic frag-fest that it is on teh Public servers.

I'd say that if you had five a side it could be real fun.

Might join up again although I've allready added your servers to my favourites.
Ended up one time on another clansserver although I had the IP's from your site and double checked them.
 
I've played some CoD4 last night and ended up on 1 server which was absolutely really weird. 24/7 Shipyard or something and the fast pace on that server was to weird for words. Lots of headshots but it seemed more that if you got a good spot, keep shooting the spawning guys, loads of kills. Played there a fewminutes and got bored..

Been looking for your CoD 4 Server but cannot for the life of me find it!

50K have a CoD4 server that's usually fairly full if you're looking for a place to play. at the moment it's running Hardcore Team Deathmatch, which seems to be the best to get people playing. even if you don't like it, i'd give it a go. i used to hate HC, but i'm slowly getting used to it. anyways, the IP is 85.236.101.40:27733

The game is pritty poor, specialy playing against rank 55 ppl that can use a heavy machine gun (the 100 bullet clip things) at a longer range then basic sniper rifle to use 1 shot to put one between the eyes. Ill keep at it for a while and see if it gets any better with rank, but atm i think i wont be able to play it for long.

Rank is not that big an issue. The best gun in the game is the M4 which you get at level 10 (about 2 hours play) LMG are ok and you get one before you hit 10, but they are more noise than anything usefull.
 
The other big unlocks I would say are:
claymore - L23
OverKill - L38
 
apart from that I would say the reason Level 55 seem to kill you more than visa versa is they have played the game a bit more:doh:

i am level 55 but I try to keep my gun choices fairly basic otherwise it makes a joke of playing against people who are just starting out in the game, it will put them off. if you are playing on our server and someone is running riot with big guns etc then ask him politely to use something simpler for a while so that new folks have a chance to learn. having said that, if you have no experience of fighting against those guns you are going to find them hard to use when you unlock them yourself. its like the AWM in CS, there are tactics that can be used against it.

Well, one thought would be to skip the ranking all together in that case. Then everyone would be on the same level.

True, that can be set but wouldn't it be nicer for all -=[dMw]=- to rank on a decent server? Ours?
Atleast they can get used to the ranking the good way instead of joining a public from now and then...

Lets not get hung up about ranking, after 1 week of play, you will have all the toys you cold ever want.

Another option is to set "Old School Mode" In Old School Mode everyone starts with bugger all at the start of the map and you earn upgrades as you play. I think it allows you to gain rank points as you play (so that people can rank on a decent server) but it levels the playing field with regard to what weapons people have access to. I'll see if I can find out more.

I like a decent rank, what about Charly or Senior Admin it's not a rank then? :devil:

Should there be no-one on our server, people would like to play on another server and if they are still low rank there, what's the point in having a "ranked" server? :flirty:
 
And to be honoust, I like ranking in games and I reckon most people do...

Our BF2 server suffered by not being ranked. We won't make that mistake again with CoD4.

So my pending upgrade looks like it is now a more pressing need (touching cloth?)
 I'll need to check my finances at the end of the month to see if I can afford to splash out £1.2k for a new PC and screen.
