Pull up a chair, make yourself comfy.
We all are pretty au fait with general behaviour standards on our server, but just so we're all singing from the same hymm sheet a few items your consideration.
1: Don't kick or ban in retaliation.
1a: Or in isolation. Although sometimes you will be on your own. Use your loaf. :)
2: In general a 12 hour ban is enough unless there is blatant wrecking or abusiveness then 999 years should do it. :norty:
3: Please join Ventrilo. Even if you don't talk, use speakers, ears hurt etc. at least join so that you can hear stuff. For instance "Keep an eye on Deathsquadwreaker he's being a dick!"
4: We're all fair guys so no more needs to be said.
Thank you.
We are in the process of looking at an app that allows to 'grade' people on the server. As in 'this guy is a first class dork' -5 points. Minus X amount of points means he doesn't race on Thursdays.
http://pos.lfs.marcomark.net/ is the app in question. I don't know if it's practical from a techie pov. Oldus?
DISCUSS.
I'm not sure I want to spend most of my time rating people. I would need to know what kind of racer one is and that might not be easily seen unless he is a complete a-hole. Usually it would take several races and people normally don't say anything unless they see totally bad behaviour so I would need to hang at his rear bumber observing his actions. Besides, in many cases I have seen my judgement has been bit wrong after watching the replay.
Finally...different people use different scaling. It is not easy to define such a scale, which it would need. For example tell me what kind of behaviour is worth -2, -1, +1 etc.
In my mind people are roughly in 3 classes: ok, might need some improvement and totally no no. The last class gets a ban. Middle class a warning and maybe a kick.

To tell the truth I don't know how it works but I would imagine, from what I've seen, we can state how many votes it would take, i.e. 5-6, and what grade he gets decides whether he drives on Thursday or not. :g:
