Title: Defragmenting and Registry cleanup
Post by: Lucian on December 23, 2007, 04:36:01 PM
OI've read in the past that the windows defragmenter is a bit useless, and my disk needs a bit of a cleanup.  Any advice on a free defrag program?

Similarly my registry needs a clean up too - any free programs for this you guys know of?>

Auslogics Disk Defrag is pretty good - http://www.auslogics.com/disk-defrag/index.php (http://www.majorgeeks.com/O&O_Defrag_2000_Freeware_Edition_d4545.html)

it doesn't do the reg tho..

I am most pleased with JD Defrag, which also others around here like
http://www.kessels.com/JkDefrag/

For reg. cleaning I am quite happy with ccleaner (//www.ccleaner.com) which also clears cache and other things.

Both apps are freeware.
