An older system - P4 2.8GHz, 512MB, Intel 82265G on-board gfx (currently set to 96MB shared me thinks) - can it run CSS at a playable level? Worth trying?
I tried on my Core Duo 1.66GHz 2GB lappy with the 950G chip set and ended up with 8FPS average with everything turned off, running 640x480, so before giving it a go in this old machine next to me I would like to know what you folks think...:g:
I don't know how demanding CSS is, but... I wouldn't bother trying.
If you need to get another gaming rig, buy a cheapish AGP card (I assume it is AGP system). Here you would get X1650pro or 7600gs for 70+ euros.

Sorry for not being explicit.
I am away from my desktop machine which can play the game fine. I have been trying to play using my laptop in the past, with help from ppl here, but to no avail (at least got it running with loads of tweaking, despite the game is listed incompatible with the 950 but 8fps is too little ;)). Where I am now there is the mentioned PC which could do the trick for an upcoming match, perhaps.
I will give it a go and install it and see how it goes.
it should run it, it won't look pretty though, might be on a low res, with no detail, but the cpu should handle the game fine. The onboard graphics won't like the idea but should work.
