Ok guys and gals this was just an idea I had that I thought I would just throw out there and see what you think.
As some of you know I used to play Day of Defeat source, now the general consensus with this is, people who play DODS tend to moan about CS: S and vice-versa.
But I can assure you there is a lot of fun to be had playing both.
What I would like if there is any interest and the people upstairs approve is to try it out in TCS fashion.
Something inside me tells me that the game would be much cooler played our way?
what are your thoughts on this matter?
I like DOD and will go with the flow....
I played it on my housemates computer (we're in the two camps as you mentioned, he likes DoD, I like CS) it seemed alright. I wouldn't mind playing it...but I don't own it so would have to be persuaded via peer pressure to buy it.

Don't you own HL2? It's a free download, like CS:S, if you own that isn't it?

It's $8.95 in the steam shop. HL2 and the Orange Box only come with CS:S and HL Deathmatch, TF2 etc. Not DoD:S.
If you bought CS:S as a lose game you have DOD:S, i dont have it either, but i think Marduk has a copy.

They must have changed that at some point then. I bought HL2 when it first came out, over Steam rather than a physical box from a shop. I've just checked, and I can indeed download DoD:Source, as it came free, like CS:Source, with my copy of HL2. I've certainly never paid extra for it.
Bummer that they changed that.
So who do we speak to about getting a temporary server up to see what the interest level is?

It depended on the package of HL2 you bought, normal didnt have it, but the other 2 "collecters" packages had it i think.
