The opening match of the ED Cup is scheduled to take place on the MH on 1st Aug 20:00. We have some decisions to make before then.
The match is high profile and will probably attract a large HLTV audience.
I doubt we will have the new server in place by then so do we:
1. Ask Spike to give the match to another clan's server and aim to get the new server in place by the second/third/final round?
2. Give the MH as much headroom as possible by removing Admin Mod, Clan Mod and Statsme and hope that that will make it suitable to play on? We could even try a fresh install of HL & CS to produce a 'pure' CS server as favoured by some of the top clans.
3. Do nothing and risk losing the opportunity to host the final (and the two other rounds).
We need to decide quickly. Obviously option 2 is putting a large load on DM/Stryker so that needs to be considered carefully.

In the mean time we also have a server in London that *could* act as a hltv server? that would spread the bandwidth demands too.

The second match is scheduled for the 8th Aug.
As this is a pure server issue I think it would be best for DogMeat to liaise with Spike direct. I just need to be kept informed incase of fixture issues.

If the kit's all avaiable before the w/e 3/4 Aug we'll have enough time to build and install the new box and have a couple of days to test before the 8th.
I'm going to order the kit today so hopefully it should easily be available by then, maybe even by the 1st (if you have time to put it all together...).

I'll try to get them to deliver direct to you Stryker, but you know what some of these companies are like, they will only send to the cardholder address. I'll post more info later when it has been done.
In the meantime you can seek out your preferred rack case so that I know which one to order for you......

Befuddled and confused.
Are we asking Spike to move the first match off of homer? If so, who is liaising with Spike (I still think it's best if Doggers does this)?
It prob would be best if doggers told spike to move the first game somewhere else.... however it will be a cold day in hell when he get off his butt and sorts it.... plus satan will be giving santa a blow job the day doggers is ever arsed to tell us hes done it :-)

Mobo, CPU & RAM have arrived with Stryker. HDD should be there today. Case is still to be purchased but we are in the midlle of trying to sort the logistics on that - hopefully by the end of the day.
