Title: New map - Highway Tampa
Post by: OldBloke on January 05, 2008, 11:25:50 AM
If, like me, you're not yet up to speed with BF2 then be aware that EA released a new map for BF2 called Highway Tampa.

Get it here. (http://battlefield.ea.com/battlefield/bf/battlefieldnewsdetail.aspx?site_id=UU1COM5Y-ZEUW-FIC6IS62&storyid=13721)

It's not on the server yet but will be there before Monday but getting AAS to work with it will depend on how soon Liberator (our AAS guru) can work his magic.

Damn, now I have to start all this again.

Is there a logical sequence to the waypoints?

p.s.
I'm writting this on my new toy, a nokia n800 (http://www.nokia.co.uk/A4321027) internet tablet. Very nice toy.

Okay, the Tampa map is now inserted in the AAS code and I've tested a 16 player route successfully.

I just need routes for the 32 and 64 player maps and I can forward the code for installing on the dMw server.

Just had a trundle round Tampa and there's a MAJOR irritation. The place is scattered with advertising hoardings for Intel and DICE! How freaking real is that?!" :ranting2:

If you read the mission summary you will be even more peaved.

It says that the US are transportining new Intel tech and the MEC's are trying to stop them.

Maybe the MEC's should be called AMD and have faster cheaper vehicles, just for realism. Also the 4 wheel drives would be real 4 wheel drives instead of pretend ones. :D

Not unless you are Intel pretending to have a Quad core.

Tsk tsk Seb, I'd never have a go at your Mondeo in public.

Well, intel you could argue about. But DICE you can't complain about. They made the game ffs and I believe they are entitled to.

Also, I do remember seeing Coca Cola signs on CNN in Kuwait back in 1991 when Desert Storm was going on. So really it is not that far fetched.
