I have dropped and cracked my BF2 disc now it will only play 10% of the time..
Is there anything I can do other than buy a new one?
PM on its way :)
My connection has gone down the crack tonight of all nights

Make sure your disk is not scratched or has any dust/dirt on it. If it does then wipe it from the centre outwards not rouns and round.
Turn of any unneeded processes in case one of them is causing a clash (anti-virus being a favourite)
Just got myself a new copy of BF2 for £13 also comes with Special forces which is nice should arrive in time for next monday so HUZZAH
The important part of the game that you buy is the Key for playing online, so beg, borrow, download an iso and run with a no-cd key. Once you've installed it you just enter your login details as normal to play online.
Tried all that ISO stuff - Punkbuster does a sweep for changes to the exe and then dumps you out of the game

Blue gave me alot of help but I couldnt get it working :(
So I am £13 out of pocket but I guess i'll have a key for sale ^^
Well I'm sure you can sort it.
Even I managed to get it working.
hang in there

There shouldn't be any changes to the exe if you use the daemon manager. I wonder if you have a corrupted install or have not patched to 1.41?
Try this:
Unmount the mini image in Daemon Tools <- important!
reapply the 1.41 patch
remount the mini image (do not replace the exe with a noCD file, just use the image)
try connecting again.

Anti-virus is listed in the manual as a no-no.
DOH!!!!
Finally got it working after I brought the game at least I get spec ops though :)
And my wheel still hasn't come lol
