Title: CPU, Mobo, RAM & HDD Purchased Today
Post by: TeaLeaf on July 26, 2002, 06:34:01 PM
I have just completed purchases for the following:

Pentium4 2.0Ghz 512Kb L2 Cache from Savastore £170.38
2 x 512MB PC2700 RAM from Crucial £302.42
EP-4G4M+ Motherboard from Dabs £111.62
WD UDMA100 40Gb 7200 HDD from IdealComputing.co.uk £77.45

The mathmatically aware will have spotted that we have raised £642 so far and I have just spent £661.87    So PLEASE GET you donations in quickly :D

Please, Please, Please will you ALL Pimp the remaining funds to be found with every non-dMw person you meet on MH.  We need that extra money to (a) pay me back, and (B) get the rack case needed.

All the goods are to be delivered direct to Chez Stryker, with the exception of the HDD which is being delivered here (there webbie wouldn't let me send it to Stryker).  I'll forward the HDD to Stryker just as soon as it arrives.

I hope this cheers you all up a bit for the weekend.

talkin to me oldie?  homer's case is tiny.  a desktop midi tower case is usually 4U in size (4U is the width of a cdrom drive plus a little, hence the width of a typical mini tower case), homer is a desktop case only 3U high, with a smaller than standard PSU.  I'm sure a uATX m/b will not fit.....  the problem is I have to drive from walsall to manchester to find out....

however you can hold fire on the case I guess as we have a few PCs at work, the same model as homer, so I guess I could have a look in one to see if it will work.

cases, windows, water?  you got some real strange computa shops in your area?  sure you've not been mistakenly looking at the checkouts in a gardening centre? :-)
