Try not to confuse me but, can I link my Laptop to my PC for Folding? if I can how.
You can set up folding on your laptop, make sure that it has tagged;
"Ask before using network".
This way you can download the next F@H (F@H) when it's connected to the internet again.
So when you have the laptop on it just normally folds. When it needs a new F@Hthingy (F@Hthingy) it request for it to send and receive a new one.

I have dowloaded the file to my laptop.
When I go through set up it loads then for about 0.05th of a second goes into the systray but then stops, does not remain open. I have trawled through the folding pages for a similar question and vaguely remember something about the exe. file ? but I can't find it again. Sorry to keep asking but I get the feeling some of you guys like solving theses problems.
Which version have you downloaded?

Are you sure it's stuck?
It's not taking a while to complete a frame?
Otherwise, stop F@H (F@H), restart. This sometimes helps or check your Foldingsettings.
with f@h running, did you check in the task manager how much load the f@h client was putting on your CPU? was your computer doing 100%? If so, I'd say you're folding. It does not output much text, as Duvel says, only when reaching a percentage (can take hours) or if you swap to battery power on a laptop (stand-by)

Cant find the text file ? Ive been stuck on 150/1500 all day.
When I re start the laptop it goes up to say 172/1500 I can live with that, but the last unit did not complete and was lost !
it should be in your folding directory, same as the FAH exe.

While this stuff runs - is your cpu load 100%? Start task manager and see.
No it fluctuates 75 to 95%.
When i click on the red wheel in the systray on my PC it opens up the page with the gromac core graphic, and says Working.... in the bottom left corner.
On my laptop the graphic flicks on and off and says Benchmarking
Was that file from your laptop or PC?
I assume PC as benchmarking happens before you download.
I wonder whether your laptop is somehow blocking FAH, check firewalls etc.
You could try delete the work folder (on your laptop), or rename it.
The file was from the laptop.
Maybe worth reposting the txt file after the laptop has been on for 24 hours. Just to give us a feel of what its doing. :)

That hasn't changed then. Definitely not folding.
Have you deleted the work folder since you showed us the txt file last time? If you haven't, it seems like it tries to create the work folder, but is not allowed to make the folder - and perhaps that is why it stalls?
