Title: Photoshop Tutorial
Post by: Exodus on January 23, 2008, 02:54:46 PM
Ive spent some time tinkering with PS CS2, and I think I've explored as much as humanly possible without any good tutorials. I did however have some good comprehensive sites bookmarked a while ago with begginner/intermediate e.t.c. projects to work on to build your skill using this programme. However I lost these and really can't remember the names of them, as I had to go through thousands of different useless sites to find them the first time round.

To those veterans of photoshop, could you perhaps point me in the direction of a site that has sort of a dummy's guide to PS with a build up to tougher exercises? I've spent some time googling this myself with not much luck. I'm generally finding tutorials that are not very well explained.

Thanks very much.

:)

Cheers Ven.

I worked for Adobe's Video Team for 3 years. We were ment to use the Essential Training DVD's. I just could not get into them.
I personally would recommend looking for "CIB" Classroom in a book. You can get them for most Adobe applications.  Either get the original, or make sure to download the sample files if you are obtaining your copy else where. ;o)

Never underestimate the HELP files and the Manual!!!!  They are your best friends when it comes to learning the application.
I became an Adobe Certified Expert and later Trainer, only by using the software, reading the manual and working with CIB (when I first started). I know it can be boring, but everything you need to know is in there somewhere.

Ah Success; Adobe Photoshop CS2 CIB (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Adobe-Photoshop-CS2-Classroom-Book/dp/0321321847/ref=pd_bbs_sr_4?ie=UTF8&s=gateway&qid=1201190100&sr=8-4) .

Just glancing at the reviews,  seems to be just what I need.

Cheers NP.
