Title: Need something translating to German.
Post by: Jamoe on February 07, 2008, 10:36:12 AM
Hoping someone can translate this to German for me.

"Sorry to see you leave us, all the best in your new job."

I could use an online translator but the chap leaving is German and they won't do him justice :) (he always signs cards to me in German)

Lol, if you would have translated it, it would be this;
"traurig, Sie zu sehen, uns, alle besten zu lassen in Ihrem neuen Job."

Here is my attempt;
Schade das du gehst, alles bestes bei dein neues werk.

I will offer:

"Es ist schade, daß du gehst. Ich wünsche dir alles Gute bei deiner neuen Arbeitsstelle."

I would post all 3 and add a comment that you got them suggested.

BFC's one is pretty good but I don't think you need the; ß but an s, as in; das.

For the rest, nice 1 Benny. :lmfao:

:roflmao:

If the guy has humor I would seriously add this one :D

edit: A good friend of mine suggests this one, they tend to like a formal one:

"Es tuht uns leit, von Ihnen Abschied nehmen zu müssen. Wir wünschen Ihnen alles Gute im neuem".

Absolutely spot on!
you could swap the "bei deiner" to "mit deiner"...wont make much of a difference tho.

bei = at your new job
mit = with your new job

Flying back to germany for a school reunion in may :) w00t w00t  can't wait.
