Title: Nearly there
Post by: Blunt on February 13, 2008, 02:53:01 PM
After my pc nightmare of the last couple of weeks, I am well on the way to a full recovery.

Thanks to windows doing a fresh install over my old files (don't ask!) I had to do a fresh install of steam.

Unfortunately my Steam folder which I had saved did not have the desired effect when I transplanted it into my fresh install, so I had to fiddle about alot to get it the way it was.

Apart from the fact that I don't really know what I am doing, there are so many configs cfg's autoexecs etc that it was giving me headaches, and I still haven't got it quite right yet.

I managed to get Rcongui working again, but I'm not too happy with the way it looks. Have a look at this screeny (apologies for size) and see if you can figure out what is wrong
(http://uk.geocities.com/bluntphilly@btopenworld.com/rcongui.JPG)

I've followed the instructions on this post (http://www.deadmen.co.uk/forum/showpost.php?p=204157&postcount=1)

I'm still struggling to get my buy scripts working again.

all suggestions appreciated:D

A guess is that the RCONGUI files/dir are in the wrong place. The left side that is ok are all "@ text" type of lines. The one on the right are scripts that are executed when pressed..

You've installed an update that required the installation of the previous version first.  Get the full version from here (http://www.deadmen.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=17349) :)

It will overwrite what you've installed already and it should work fine.

with regards to the buy scripts I've only just noticed that you have slots on the buy screen which you can set up to choose what to buy. :doh:

ie. 1 = vest & helm, M4a, defuse and HE
 2= vest & helm, MP5 etc

Pretty handy!
