Constructive feedback on our (whitey and doc (and frenzys props)) map please.
 
What we realised from the playtest:
 
*CTs are way to limited with the boundaries used at the time. Changes are due.
*New route(s) will be added to help CT to get down to Train bombsite
*At a later stage a minimap will be added that will sort the classic 2 As and 2Bs on the radar.
*Bombsite A = Astute (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/articles/news/news.html?in_article_id=460753&in_page_id=1770) = the submarine, B= Blunt = Trains
*We cannot confirm or deny anything regarding easter eggs or the easter bunny.

There is a slight bug (or might be intentional) with the pipes running parallel with the submarine.. at the spot there pipes cross over the parallel pipes you cant run over, but have to jump over it at times...

And noticed the ladders in the vents vanished at times when getting near em, might just be a glitch in my css..

other then that a awsome map, tho seemed a bit difficult to defend for the ct's... might be the amount of entry points to each spawn.. but still liked it :D

Had my dinner midway through so only played half a map as CT.

From a CT point of view, I thought Blunt was very hard to defend, as the route from the far end of the trains and the nearer passage(guard house) let the T's get into the site really easy.

The sub side was abit fairer, and the t's barely attacked it because the trains were so easy to get into :P

but yeah overall looks very nice, just a few tweaks needed to help ct's out I think.

Not sure what to add really, just filling the map out more and optimising as there were some low fps points. Great map though otherwise. :D

that was a fecking good map mate, loved the shadows and the dark red areas where the trains were, only observation was that when a t was in the water and you as a ct were guarding (A) you could hear the underwater noises that they would have been getting, which is why we got the bomb every time someone went in the water.
 
apart form that ace, oh and also a buttifico trapping device to give us all a chance would be nice:devil:

A  couple of people thought the train passages were too dark.  I didn't mind it though as it added tension.

Can the gangplank to the sub have rails? It's damned irritating when you fall of it?

Ran through this on my server and I had a couple of notes, the 1st being semi-tongue in cheek.

1) The cans in the corner don't blow up and 2) get an electric forklift!

This one was an actual oddity that seems to be somewhat random whenever I try to replicate.  When I first saw this, I shot twice through the top grate and then went through, but didn't fall through.  I shot a third time and I dropped down.  I killed myself and came back, but this time the top grate is as you see it in the pic: semi-transparent and the next grate is visible.  Two shots took out the top and one took out the next.  Seems inconsistent, but doesn't seem right either.

Really like the map - just wish it was a little easier to get onto the sub as a T.  I seem to spend most of my time trying to put in decent jumps to get on board the back of the thing, and therefore can't spend time scouting for CTs as well.  Making some small concessions on this might encourage Ts to go to this site more often, as 3/4 of the time we just attacked the trains because it was much simpler.

Whitey and I had a really long and good look at the map yesterday evening. We agree with you that the Ts don't attack the sub that much and we have come up with some changes that will make it less easy to attack by the trains but also a little easier to go to the sub. Hopefully we will have the changes done until Fridays MH session. We think the changes will balance the map for both T and CT:

We have already added an extra landing onto the sub to make it easier to get onto it. Also the sub, the pipes and the crane have been moved slightly to make it easier to access from the other side.

Some props have been moved to improve gameplay.

Got to say that I only attacked the sub a few times but because the CT's have loads of gitspots there to hide and shoot from the T's have a difficult time attacking there as you can sometimes hardly see where someone is shooting from.
Attacking the trains has become easier especially since you changed the lightsettings.

No the barrels aren't exploding any more. We had it so they could in a previous build but it became too advantageous for the Ts. You could simply chuck an HE into the barrels and they would catch fire and scatter into the room before exploding. If anyone was in the room they would get hurt.

Regarding the forklift you need to bring that up with the managment of the facility.

Regarding your grate problem you are the first and only to report about it. We haven't realised it was a problem. There are two grates in the opening. One at the top in floor level of the sub room and one at the bottom at ceiling level in the guard house.

As I'd mentioned a couple of days ago (could've been yesterday, not sure), on my screen shows up bearing the same textures as the player-pieces in Monopoly, dents and all that. I assumed it was supposed to be that way, as nobody else ever mentioned it, but after asking around, it turned out that most people (as in, everybody except me) see it in a dark-ish brown with smoother textures. Anyway, here are the promised pics:

This is how it's been showing up for me on all 4 builds of the map, which is weird.

We had a good game tonight with plenty of people on.  Hopefully you noticed the FPS improvements on the map :)

I want to do a final build of the map with the nav file finished, the overview done and the door that people can get stuck on fixed.  

Any other last minute suggestions or bugs I should know about?

The ladder out of the water on the right side opposite Ct spawn is a bit hard to get up. Might just be me, though.  Everything else seemed really nice!

As Whitey posted above. Astute is soon to be final. Whitey has done a tremendous job on the nav file for the bots. Our intention is to have astute on boomer. :byebye:
