It was about 12:55am and we were Sat in bed, just started to feed Samuel when this little quake hit. It was so freaky, the house shakes slightly when the big goods trains go past but this was about 10 times more powerful.

QuoteThe British Geological Survey (BGS) said the epicentre of the 5.3 magnitude quake was near Market Rasen, Lincolnshire.
Insane stuff, and apparently my town is at the centre.

No structural damage seen yet, but house is sat on 30, 10meter piles, not sure if that's a good thing when it comes to quakes lol.

Yeap, we were at the centre, probably caused when Samuel thundered in his pants.

Heard about this aswell on the radio, was wondering if a fellow -=[dMw]=-'er would have noticed it.

An extra check around/in the house is a good thing to do Jamoe. You never know what the results are. I hope it was just a shake and no harm was caused although I did hear that a chimney fell on an olderly person when he was in bed (as in your link).

I was yards from the epicentre of a minor quake when we scored an injury time winner against Margate last night, but that was all the seismic activity I noticed after that.
Reports of the quake being felt further away in Southampton shows the south coast are just being attention seeking.
