After some excellent matches the round-robin stage of the tournament the scores were as follows:
Total scores after 3 matches:
[STR] had 39 points
=JIZ= had 34 points
[BUGGER] had 25 points
|OC| had 23 points
So JIZ and STR contested the final and OC and BUGGER the 3rd place playoff. A highly defensive final resulted in the following score:
JIZ 8 v 1 STR
As expected JIZ came first  and are duly crowned MeatHook Survivor Series Champions 2003 :D Congrats lads! STR get the Silver medal.
The playoff for third place was also a defensive affair with the final score being:
BUGGER 6 v 1 OC
So BUGGER are behind JIZ and STR, but sneak 3rd spot from OC.
A good afternoon of entertainment, I hope you all enjoyed it! Played all :D
MeatHook PCS, Crosswired and dMw would all like to thank everyone for participating. We hope it was worth it!
TL. 8)
Yeah ggs folks, well played, some really interesting tactics compared to the norm and nice to see that STR (Sadako) didn't pull if off :P Unilucky mate ;-)
Well done JIZ and thanks to Lardie and Sn00ks for stepping in and removing our excuse for losing every game :| and also for putting up with my moaning.
ggs all
An afternoon deliciously spent. Well done, TL, top job.
i'd like to put my hands together for JIZ too... well played.
yeah well done TL ......
jiz were just lucky they played us on winternuke .....
'cos we rocked on survivor !!!
8O jiz winner
well very good games with =JIZ= players going with any strange damm call that was made :P
i feel it a bit of a holow victory as we diddnt play a full squad in the final but i thought it was a bit unfair to to drop a player that had made his Sunday afternoon available :?
well played to all the teams, these have been the best matches i have ever played in.
big thanks to the leaders who arranged this i could not think of a better way to spend a sunday afternoon
i hope may we have many more of them because u cant get this level of play on the planet

Maybe what might have been better was for them to borrow a player of the oppositions choosing. That way the squad with a full side dosnt have to drop a player and they dont pick a mega star as their substitute and hey presto we have a even final.
Just a thought.
Maybe keep it in mind for next time eh!

There just as to be a workround for this.
Well played JAS some great calls along the way fella
Wp everyone, put yourself in our position, to ask one of our members to step down after being togetehr through thick and thin would have been an incredible kick in the face. When we first played on survivor(against STR) we had 1 man less and still managed a respectable 10-7 result, so it's not beyond belief that STR were under the hammer
I believe in the end it was down to some good calls, hard work and skilled leadership that JIZ won out in the end.
No matter what anyone says, we deserved to win on the day. Especially after being in the lead 3 times on diffrent games just have to to restart all over again due to something beyond our control.
P.S Message to DA, don't ever say "STR are gonna win"
well done JIZ, not a bad bunch of players
thanx to STR a sadako(good tactition)
although we did,nt win the final we were without doubt the best team on the servers this afternoon
Plyd JIZ. Congrats.
STR wp! We won all the matches and averaged a wizzing 13 per match in the normal rounds. Hold your heads up high.
It is tough meeting a well oiled machinery one man down. When we were 2 man down for 3 rounds as T it became even tougher. DarkAngel returned though.
If anyone sees grim reaper ... dip him in tar and feathers!
well played =GIT=...err i mean =JIZ=
and well played all it was a great afternoon and some very good games
i would also like to thank albert for leading his team and learning me some new words in the process :D
and thanks to all the peeps that set it up
Well played JIZ enjoyable afternoon you definetely out played us in the last game there wasnt anyway of getting past you and TBH even if we had Grim we wouldnt have done any better so well played to you all...
Well done to all of STR aswell you played well and worked well as a team.
Well done the winners (Jiz) but well done to all else for making it a most enjoyable afternoon. And thanks again to those who organised it and ran squads.
cracking afternoon, well played all, I lost count of the number of times I lost me mouse whilst laughing.
Big suprise that we won as I did my best to blow it! fnar.
Good job JiZ it was a pleasure, cracking job JAS, superb.
We should definitely do it again!

Actually you had the lead by one round when these server went fubar. Match restarts with you one round up.
The score was 2-1 (3-1 if we count in the one above) when we had to restart due to CO config not loaded.
You got your 2 rounds and 20 mins. So don't insinuate that you haven't been treated fairly.
As a last min sub on the bench i was called into action......I must admite i have never played that map but it was great fun all the same not that i am making any ascuses i am able to play bad on all map's lol.
It turned out to be a great afternoon, Albert lead us into battle but some of our other players decided to do thing there way which did not make Albert very happy which i can understand.
Apart from this he did a grand job and should in my book get man of the match, i would also like to thank every body involved for sorting this match out (i hope it wont be the last one).
And it was great to see nearly the whole of the DMW online.
Well done JAS. You ably led a happy and contented team to a well earned victory. Overcoming all manner of obstacles in a cheery and encouraging way. Your insrtuctions were clear, concise and invariably correct.
:stupid:
A great afternoon's entertainment. Well played all teams.
great afternoon of play, and i have to say a big thanks to albert (OC leader) who despite all frustrations kept his calm(occasionally :-P). Im sure i got my left and rights mixed up but then i blame that on the previous nights drinking. Trying to shoot straight with shaking hands isn't an easy task.
Fantastic!!......... 8)
A great job by Sadako (despite me suffering from the same malaise as FBG....apologies to those I killed ON MY TEAM!! ) who led us to three consecutive wins but we probably peaked one game too early
Well done JIZ, worthy winners of the match, and of course to BUGGER and OC who gave us some great matches :) :)
note to self: try killing the enemy before smoking the roof!!
I was going to try to put together a match report or 2 for the Games we played in but to tell the truth it was so much chaos that all the matches seem to have mixed into one
It is the first time I have played under CO rules and I am glad that we normally play MR12. With CO our plan was to go for as many attempted plants as possible, which was difficult as our natural instinct is to play down to the last man. A few times I was watching a lone teammate shouting down the mic DIE DIE DIE!!! This made me realise that we should never play CO rules in matches……As the defending team we played with the brief being to use up the timer as much as possible . If the bomb was and we had the odds against us we would go and hide using up all of the 35 secs… 8O
I was very impressed with the JIZ team they really did get stuck in and the calls on the coms were great…we also had some very healthy criticism of the way people played or where we were going / who should go where / where to hit next. As SL I was trying to spot a week area or keep the other teams guessing, The input from the guys was great many times giving comments that made the difference
We had a small practice before the tourney and the best part was the plans that we came up with went straight out of the window as soon as the action kicked off….Doorman you were right  …….but it did give us time to work out “names†for the areas which was a big help and stopped us loosing valuable seconds.
Great work by the admin type people who made the matches run very smooth….I would finish one match not even get time to catch a breath then would get told “go go go next match in you go†by the time I was in the servers were set up and ready to roll
The top man/men on our team was a tie between Slowhand and Benny who seemed to find that they were leading the charge almost all of the time…..I think I was behind Slowhand for what felt like 7 rounds in a row ….I picked these 2 as top players but that’s only due to me seeing them when I was dead the rest of the guys all had some great moments also
As a last bit of info…… For the final me and Benny decided to play naked witch I feel also helped..
A good afternoon for us I hoped u enjoyed it as much as we did..well done to all the teams and players :D

TOO MUCH INFORMATION 8O
Thanks TL and the admins for organising a great tourney - lets not leave it too long before the next one, but I imagine you guys need a break for a few weeks after the mad panic that was yesterday 8O
Thanks to =JIZ= teamates - great team spirit and as things progressed we became a well-oiled machine. Thought everyone played well throughout the afternoon. Thanks to Lardie for helping out.
JAS - gotta love those Survivor tactics. Almost perfect when a CT and definitely something the clan should adopt in the future.
Thanks to the other teams - well played
P.S. Tip for the future - if u wanna win get on JB's side. Awesome play yesterday mate
QuoteI think I was behind Slowhand for what felt like 7 rounds in a row ….
That was what was making me laugh, I'd be running get bundled out the way and hear Slowhand 'Come on, it's the old man at the front, get up here!'
Not one person was hanging back, it was almost school yard bundles to get to the front and get one in the teeth first. Well funny!

I know what you mean JAS but I actually enjoyed the fast pace style of play. I sent this to Smoking The Roof before going into battle:
QuoteIn the tournament we play Charge Only, which means that only the score as attacking team counts. So as defending team we should stall and slow down the attackers as much as possible because we only play 20 mins per side.
When we are attacking team we should try to end each round as soon as possible even if it means we lose! Trying to win a round by using the time on each round eats away on the 20 mins. If you don't think you can win the round it is better to do a suicide rush and get a new round going. Remember that they score only counts as attacking team.
/Sadako
I think we did very well with this tactic. :D

Sorry Sadako you misunderstand me, in the match against you we restarted twice. but also when we played TL's team we we're faced with a restart mid match for some reason that wasnt too clear at the time. I wasn't trying to claim unfair treatment.
Oh and thanks Chimpy, dunno why but there's something about playing in matches that always seems to bring out a fircely competetive streak in me that helps aim quicker, sharper and more accurate that when im 'relaxed'.
This also happens when DA is on the other side, but i'm yet to figure out why.
good day lads very enjoyable, even if i was getting abuse from my mum for not helping her out at all on sunday
