All you fairies shold bow-down..

Gary Gygax, co-creator of the first role-playing game Dungeons and Dragons, has died at the age of 69.

I used to love D&D long before it appeared on PC and consoles. This was when you actually had to use your imagination etc.

Started on D&D but moved on the Runequest which was a lot better imho as it used %ages.

All stemmed from the top though.

One of my favorite characters jumped a bottomless pit and didn't make the jump. 25 years that poor B:@>:%^7 has been falling.
D&D was great I had all 5 box sets.

Never liked D&D in book form, too many different dice to roll and different mechanics for different things (works well when a computer is doing all that for you though), but it is a sad day indeed when the father of tabletop roleplaying passes away, even if my preferred games are more sci-fi in nature (mmn, Cyberpunk 2020). Without Gary, we almost certainly wouldn't have WoW, or any of the other MMOs out there.

Never played the paper game, but it has some decent games for PC. Shame, before his time.

Now your talking riddles.
Aslok has been fallen down a bottomless pit for the last 25 years. I still haven't forgiven the GM for doing that to me!
