yeah, turned that on yesterday as there were loads of guests viewing and was interested to see how many were spiders.

Yahoo! Slurp Spider sounds like something Benny would come up with though...

last night was about the time i noticed that they where there as there where 5 users online and 60 odd guests

This spider is merely indexing the pages - it's not harvesting e-mail addresses.... those spiders are ususally by mass-mailing companies...

I also noticed these slurp bots when we had mass guests, but didnt think much of it because it was Yahoo!

Yes, also MSNBot Spider but I just find it weird because why would Yahoo send it to "a Friend"...
And especially a thread about Community Funding.
