Title: CoD4 challenges and such
Post by: DuVeL on March 20, 2008, 12:00:19 PM
I'm currently playing CoD4 quit a bit and was wondering if anyone else here is busy with completing all the challenges.

For the gun challenges I'm still busy with 2 assault guns and one shotgun but then I'll have all the guns and extras unlocked.

Anyone here that allready thried that PrestigeMode thing? How does that work?

There's still the other challenges I'm trying to get like;
-2 kills in mid air
and
-How the ? Kill an enemy using Deep Impact to shoot an explosive through a wall
-Invincible Get 5 health regenerations from an enemy damage, in a row without dying
-Kill yourself and 1 enemy by cooking a grenade but not throwing it

Any suggestions on this?

basically most of the elite challenges are bs ive been through prestige like 3-4 times and never actually done the get 2 kills while in the air and stuff but my mate somehow lagged that one xD but the kill an enemy with the grenade is good if you know where a sniper is and you run in there kill yerself and him at the same time but there 3 stages of that one so youve gotta do it a lot

EDIT: Prestige basically takes you back down to lvl1 you loose all the stuff youve unlocked apart from the game types and you get much better badges it just shows that you play it too much/are good at it

This weekend I ended up unlocking my final golden gun (shotgun) so now I have all the guns on 100% but I can't go Prestige. Your probably playing CoD4 on Xbox or such? I'm playing the PC-version so I reckon Prestige is not for the PC.

I've got the "2 kills in mid air" by the way. Seems there's a spot on Bloc where the map thinks your in mid air. Can post a screenshot or such but with a Googlesearch it's easy to find.

Googled a bit for the PC-version, no prestige available unfortunatly.

Funny by the way that you reply to your own questions. :flirty:

im good like that lol tis a bit ghay that they dont have prestige on the comp version you dont get the chance to get better badges than the rubbish 5 stars but meh i think after getting all the gold guns you dont want to go into prestige again i wouldnt 0.o

EDIT: just nicked the disc of me brother and ive got it for as long as i want it :D what server do you lot play on then?

been playing on the "killer badgers" servers quite a bit.

had been playing on another server (OT) that tried to push something like TCS for CoD4 but unfortunately they were just playing at it and when I got on their TS server found they were swearing like mad and bitching about all the other players on the server so I gave them my opinion and left. havent been back to them since. Shame, they had the potential to be good but also wanted to have an area where they didnt have to live up to their own ethos! Didnt make sense to me

Great news! Heads up that the Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Variety Map Pack sponsored by NVIDIA will be available worldwide for our PC players this week on June 5th!
NVIDIA is making it possible for PC players to download the map pack for Free on the PC thanks to their sponsorship. In addition, expect to see quite a few promotions popping up leading up to the launch of the map packs on the 5th and beyond. I know NVIDIA has a lot of great things planned for PC users in addition to maps becoming available.
There’s going to be some PC specific previews going up online this weekend I believe that will cover how well the maps play on the PC version as well as some contests and promotions happening all next week. I’ll be posting up details on them as they get started all this week!
The Variety Map Pack includes four new maps for Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare multiplayer including Broadcast, Chinatown, Killhouse, and Creek.
In addition to the map pack hitting, PC Players will be receiving the 1.6 Patch for the PC version of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare that will add support for the new maps, fix a server crash exploit recently reported by the community, and a few additional features / bug fixes. I will post a full patch notes list next week.

Nice maps they are too. We should have a server, to replace BF2. At least it would keep Armitage out of the bloody heeliocopters.
