Im having a problem with WoW atm.. Just as my internet stabilized the game itself has started to lag.. Like a lot.. I can log in and do 1 BG, maybe 2 if Im lucky, but then it goes nuts.. In one AV I down to 1 FPS, which is rather unplayable..
No idea whats causing it, as its the only game it happens in.. I tried disabling all my addons, deleting the *** folder, reseting the Video settings and running the repair, but no changes..
Anyways.. Before Im beginning to reinstall it, I wanted to ask you guys if you had any experience with this problem or know some way to fix it :eyebrow:
I think the same happened to the chef from the hotel joining us at the LAN (either than, or he got leeched bad). He did not have good fps before, but he dropped to about 4-5 fps IIRC. I looked a bit at it, but could not figure it out. Perhaps someone here solved that...
Have you tried the repair tool ?
If you have, then I can't think of anything else right now.
Edit: shoud read better -.-
Oh and did you use the repair tool as a repair or just it to check files ?
ye used the repairtool, both with just checks and with repair..
Seemed fine at the beginning but the framerate slowly went down after about 30 mins.. stayed rather stable at 30ish FPS, but still a little low for my liking when its usually around 60 FPS :eyebrow:
i have the same problem... but without the FPS lag.... and its the same.... i doo 1 / 2 WSG / AB's on my priest then i get 1k lags until i restart WoW.... Its come to the point that if i lag i can get it to about 500 without nothing running on desktop
Pretty odd thing, if you aren't running any torrents or orther stuff while plaing.
And also if you have tried to play without any addons.
Maybe reinstall is the way to go ? :g:
some of the addons... like FuBar and titan panel have a performace mod that shows how much memory your mods are using and, at least Fubar, has the option to "clear garbage" which i gather is like a cache or summat. just a thought anyhoo :)
i also read somewhere that Blizz altered the particle effects in patch 2.4 and wonder if this maybe may have summat to do with slow FPS.. although i can't see why it builds up gradually :S
i occasionally have cack frame rates but it's usually in places with complex lighting (Terokkar forest) as i have me 8800gt turned up to max filtering and draw distance full
Well cleaned out in the addons and reinstalled some of the ones I found most important (DBM, Nature cast thingy, etc) and it just occasionally goes nuts with the FPS, but thats once or twice a day atm, so not as bad as before..
It does spend a lot of time around 30 FPS, but its not that bad actually..
And yea.. thought me having everything in Video options on full had something to do with it, but lowering the setting didn't really do any change except making the game looking ugly, so went back up to full :D
If it goes bonkers Ill come whine here again, but for now Im good :)
