I can also remember him from RG2 but not sure if I'm confusing him to some other RG2 mage :P so can't say anything about is he good or bad.
But I think it was the TBC coming out and people moving around and stuff.
I talked to him some days ago, and he said that he started to have too much things to do in RL and cutted the game hours down. Then only he could do was solo, and he got bored to that. Then he just decided to take a break and that was a one year break. (A short story)
I think he could be worth the trial :)

he left sog when we nearly disbanded, then came back for a bit in leveling then went afk for a long time i think
the last time he left he was kicked due to inactivity. Reinvited today, 23/04/08
