- a list of officially supported games (BF2 and CS variants will both be there)
- organised competitions
- official LAN Admins
- late night gaming
With your participation the LAN will be a great one, so reserve your spot as soon as the Booking Thread is published to make sure you do not miss out!
Enjoy!
Note for International Travellers: The LAN accommodation costs are above, it's cheaper if you agree to share a twin bed (two single beds) room with someone of course.
The LAN venue we charge at £15 per person for the whole weekend.
Other costs: Food and drink - this depends on you. If you're eating dinner in the restaurant it costs around £20-£25 plus drinks. Others prefer to buy sandwiches, get Pizza, kebabs or burgers etc and stick to beer not wine etc.
Travel: Any London airport works well, Stanstead & Luton are closest. Heathrow is ok, Gatwick is further but still doable. If you book your flight tickets we'll make sure someone picks you up and takes you back - post on the forums for a lift and you are usually sorted out very quickly as other attending members appreciate the international effort made! Other airports are also a possibility - if in doubt post and we'll see if anyone would be travelling past your airport!
Computer: If you have a shuttle or laptop then you're probably sorted (unless hand luggage rules cause you problems) but if you cannot bring your own PC then post in the LAN section to see if someone is willing to lend you a spare PC for the weekend. Many people have done this in the past and it seems to work well!

I don't mind sharing a single bed :narnar: but I'm not sharing my PC! :D
When can we book?
Not for a while yet bud.
The official booking thread will open 3 months or so before the event.
People can book with the hotel a while after that.
Thanks

I know mate. Sorry about that....
We really tried to jiggle the dates but unfortunately they were pretty booked up and it was the best date we could wangle.
Not ideal but needs must.

that's just nasty
ok how much is a weekend with you guys gonna cost me bearing in mind last night my amex blue card got declined for fuel at BP
It depends a bit.
If you check the startingthread from Pen you'll get an idea on what it costs for LAN-room and a hotelroom. Other then that it depends on your drinks and such you use.
For the people coming from abroad it's allways a tad more expensive but then again, it's definatly worth the money.
Aye, the tall fella has pretty much summed it up.
If you share a room (£33 per night B+B) and eat pizza / kebab etc then you're probably looking at £85 - £90. Add to that your travel and drink and that's about it.
If you want to drink in the bar etc then you obviously need to buy drinks from the bar. In the gaming room - providing you're subtle - you can get away with bringing in a few cans.
Overall, so long as their bar and food profits are enough to justify our invasion then they're pretty easy going.... and with people like Ron, TL and particularly Sheepy.... their bar takings are usually pretty healthy. :norty:

Count me in folks. Can't wait, hope to have a PC I can actually play new games on by then :narnar:
Also question, I have a buddy from work who has registered but is still a Forum Feotus (LOL makes me laugh).
If there is space can I bring him along?
Hi Albert,
Be tolerable to see you again :D :narnar:
Yes your friend is welcome (space permitted) this list will shortly go to Bravo and then to Alpha. Once it's in Alpha then he's free to sign up. It never fills up until the last minute so I'm sure it will be fine. Just keep an eye on it - or if you give me his name, I'll add him once the list goes to Alpha if you like?

Is this the right place to say i'll be there.??
