So after hours of experimenting here is my first map, I was told to keep it simple to begin with and so I have. However after creating both CT and T bases I need to fill the middle of the map with an un-biased layout. This is where I'm a bit stuck, could someone offer me some help on how to go about getting the main bulk of the map set up so that both CT and T are able to have a fair advantage? As the title suggests Im aiming to make it a Deagle based map. Just to note, the distance between CT and T spawns are alot further away from one-another than the pictures seem to show.

For now I stuck with the infamous GG map textures, but after some work on making the mid section I am looking at making them a bit more diverse.
I understand It looks pretty bare, but it's just a "first map" so go easy. :)
Any help with ideas for the mid section is greatly appreciated.

but maybe just have 4 buildings?
maybe with bridges linking them?
Or some ditches for cover?
some boxes for cover?

Add symetrical boxes on each side so both have the same cover is what id suggest. Nice and simple with a couple of barrels and maybe an explodable plant pot.
Looking good so far Exo, as Butta says, you could add some barrels / boxes, or maybe even have a simple (2 leveled) building in the middle?
Yes I agree with the above. Deagle maps are almost always mirrored so they remain balanced. I suggest you go on our deagle server for inspiration.

You certainly need cover in the middle or it becomes scouting with Dealges :blink:
Maybe three more palm trees on each side (about a third the way in from each end) and definitely a big pile (when I say big I mean something like eight to fourteen, two or three high in places) of GG boxes spread out in middle for reward for getting to middle.

Well, having played on lots of Deagle/GG maps, I'd either put a wall there or 3 fairly sized boxes.

There is also cover (not seen in the screenshot) to both the sides of the new twin buildings.
