Major thread hijack:
Ok, cards on table time. What's best for SOG & SOG members? If things are heading Mea Culpa way, is a larger switch in our interests and is it time to call it a day on SOG? Rather than have one or two leave by osmosis, is it time to mergeto form a stronger whole? Merging allows us to have a bit more say and control in what happens to & for our members. We also (as someone told me) seem to have much more infrastrucxture than them ready to go.

This is excactly what Mea Culpa wanted, to have SoG come over there.
And I guess since I dont know any of them I will be demoted from officer ranks.(not that it matters too much lol, altho I am gonna miss the officerchats with you guys)

That said, I believe its the best for the guild we need to discuss and not my personal feelings.
So I guess I see the benefits of merging with Mea Culpa.
I will embrace the idea with an open mind, but if this doesnt turn out to be any enjoyment for my part, I will decide to leave, and reconsider my future in the game.

Siluvaine is open to SOG being migrated into MC.
Discussion point for SOG who do you want to go and how to mention it to members.
Also to be discussed who will be officers and would different levels be required.

First off, I understand your feelings, but it is happening already without SOG having any control over it. The difference is us making decisions which allow some control over what we can deliver to our members. Doing nothing is not an option. We need to do something. No reason to assume anything. I need us all to have a clear head and think openly and honestly about how we deliver raiding to our members. SOG does not have to fold as a result of any decisions we make, but it is how we ensure we deliver something to our members.
I want to make sure that SOG officers have spoken about this beforehand. I need you all to be around on TS before then to chat, if not tomorrow then later tonight when I finish raiding. It is essential that you speak your mind - so please post your thoughts, all opinions are valid, we need to be able to talk through them in a logical fashion.

Most of us had a chat on TS yesterday, and we have some concerns regarding how we are to relay the message to our members. The meeting with MC is scheduled for 19:30 server time, and i will try to be on TS/WOW 18:30 at the latest.
Thanks for the feedback Oth. Your concerns about how we relay the message indicates you see this as a done deal. The bit I am interested in is how you see SOG's future as it is not yet a done deal.
Is my conclusion about SOG & raiding uncomfortable but correct? Are there other ways to deliver raiding to our members? How might we run SOG as a social only guild? I was hoping for feedback from all officers prior to the TS meeting tonight - the advantage of written feedback is that it forces you to think the issue through before writing it down!
Before we start the wide ranging and wierd TS chat tonight I would like as many written views as possible please as an hour is going to be sod all time to discuss this properly if we have thought about it beforehand, but plenty of time to discuss it if nobody has thought about it beforehand. Time will tell.

Yes I will be moving to MC and for the record I was asked months ago by Sil to join them
But as most will know the game for me is about the people I spend the time with so I stayed here because of my friends but now as u can see my 2 RL friends have moved
I am holding of moving for a day or so to see if I can help in anyway to get the members of SOG who want to raid an option to do so with MC
Things we need to think about
We need to get an agreement with MC for our raiding members.So who ever want to move they get a place in MC
And I do hope we can get a few of our officers to join there’s to help run and have input to MC
Those who just want to stay in SOG for the social side we need someone to run it for them?
Will MC want all our raiding members?
(Do they have any issues with any of our members?)
How many raiding members do we really have? (Not that many looking at the past few months)
I think SOG could become an alt guild for all our alts some where familiar for us all to come back to.
Just a few thoughts. not at my best today eight hours sleep in 48+ so iam feeling like sh*t

As I can see sog has not been a raiding force since the split after TBC came out
Even thru the best efforts of all the officers we have not been able to gain the interest of members to push anything past kara
I would welcome the idea of Sog being a social place to hang out.
As for an MC move..
Should we leave it up to members to stay or go ?
Would an influx of members into MC cause over populated raid spots ?

I chatted to limpsey last night and he is gunna come back to us over the next day or 2 if he wants to raid on his rogue or his boomkin.
I didnt tell him much just that there will be some big changes and that he will have the option to change to his boomkin if he wants
Do not forget my RL m8 gijs/mzltof/octain he really deserves a raiding spot in MC...
He always helps out so plz add him to the list

I would love to join MC. Raiding with them has been fun, and end-game raiding is whats left for me in wow atm. Unfortunately i'm not able to come online for about two weeks now... I got a work thing this week, and vacation with my parents next week. (They are building a cabin, and haven't gotten internet in it :()
But when i get back up i would love to join MC if permitted. And I believe the same goes for my better half too.

hope this merger goes well, i'm staying with my chars in sog.
not got the time to play now a days, with loads of work (up to 13hours a day) and helping friends to move(3'rd friend on 2 months now). and my vacation comming up in a bit.
