If you add custom games to your games list people will be able to see what game you are playing via Steam Friends. Just click "Add non steam game" and then find the game you want to add. Once you have done it the game will appear in your games list. See example below.

ahhhhh.... I was wondering about that, nice one
Thats a useful feature though I assume it doesn't do the whole server thing which you get with CS:S etc so you can join their game.
HAve you tryed it for BF2 also?

Probably falling on deaf ears mate. :flirty:
How can you get it to run shortcuts of games placed on a desktop? As i have a few rules in the target line to force bf2 to run in 1680x1050
my bf2 shortcut on my desktop is (not in steam)
"E:\Program Files (x86)\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +szx 1680 +szy 1050
so i click add non steam game and add bf2
go into my games in steam and scroll to bf2 and right click and go to properties and in target it reads
"E:\Program Files (x86)\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe"
i then just paste +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +szx 1680 +szy 1050 to the end of it and viola bf2 runs from steam games page in 1680 x 1050
hope this helps
