I'm with BB on this one. If you don't know the person or group don't add them. Remember you bought the account do you want someone else to steal it?

Well to ensure that your account is properly secured and no-one else can use it can you please register your account name and password by sending them to me. I can then update the Steam database to ensure that it is not stolen by anyone else.

If they steal your steam account they have ways of recovering it (I assume anyway). (Like if you've used a debit or credit card that should help, same if you've got a disk with the matching code that was used to activate a game on the account).
It's best not to loose it in the first place though. Such a random name to try and get people to add, why not something like "Peashooter" where it sounds like you might know someone with a name like that but can't put your finger on who it would be.
Meh, just my thoughts.
