Title: Should I buy it?
Post by: Whitey on July 04, 2008, 08:49:00 AM
I've been thinking about getting the game but am a bit concerned about playing with people who are more concerned with ranking and doing things for unlocks than completing the objective. Is the ranking/unlocks holding us back from having a game that fits within the dMw ethos just so that people can have a gold gun?

I've only played the multiplayer game at the LAN and it was one big frag fest with very little in the way of team play/tactics.  Have things improved now we have a server or is it still every person to themself?  I don't want to waste the money on another TF2.

Please provide constructive feedback, I'm just trying to find out if the game is for me.

Most people dont seem that fussed about unlocks. We are slowly getting towards some "boundaries"/guidlines to avoid the fragfest. I think you would enjoy it TBH.

Some people are "fragging" abit maybe, but I must say I havent noticed any obsessions on unlocks and ranks. Ofc it is a little kick to see one get lvled up, and get challanges done and see new guns and perks, but most people, incl. me, play to get objectives done and play as a team.
To lvl up is just a small bonus to feel you accomplish something for yourself :narnar:

I would reccomend since I like it, but I know people are abit sceptical since it differs so much from CS.
