I'm up early for a change and thought I'd post my rant that I keep forgetting to do :doh:

Basically, de_prodigy is on the boomer map cycle and I can't understand why :narnar:. In my opinion, it's an awful map for TCS as it is horribly biased and similar to assault in that way.

The T's have only 2 routes, which the cts can get to way before the t's, and they are both bottlenecks so a handful of cts can hold off gazillions of t's.

It can be an ok map when there is about 8 on the server, for small sided games where the cts can't cover both routes completly.

However, when their is 20 on the server it gets abit silly and is far from tactical. Turns into t's delaying for 5 minutes as they snipe/frag as many as they can in a futile attempt to get anywhere.

anyone agree? and if so can we put something new on :D

I agree, is cs_Seige only on MH? Can we get it on Boomer?

It is only on MH at the moment. It would be very easy to copy it across to Boomer if we wanted. However, we already have 2 custom maps in the Boomer rotation (astute, contra) and we don't want to scare off too many ppl.

I do agree that it could be a fun map on Boomer though.

I hate it too....But are 3 custom maps going to put ppl off? I dont think so, I actually think that there are CS players out there who actually look for the not-so-common maps, be a good thing to have Siege on Boomer.
 
We get enough players on Boomer anyway, mostly

Well, looking in the rear view mirror we actually had a 50-50 custom-standard rotation and boomer was mostly empty. So that is why I am a bit cautious to suggest too many custom maps on Boomer. I think the reason for it being empty was the people didn't like to download a new map all the time.

I don't like siege for what it's worth. It's ok old school style if the T's can come out, otherwise it's a long old trek for a bit of a fracas sniper style followed by a rumble in an office.

Maybe I haven't played it enough, maybe my memories are deceiving me. Deep_6, thunder and 747 are where it's at in my head.

You completely read my mind there, I really miss compound. I believe there was an issue with people sniping too much? But if there is a scout limit then it would be fine, it's better than everyone trying to ram through a tiny passage like on Prodigy. :P

Yup we that played as CT's I think on the whole found it much more enjoyable than T on Prodigy.

For the record the matches favoured T's (Obviously) when the teams were matched but as it got to a balance of like 6 CT's and 4 T's then the balance swung the CT way.

All in all a much better proposition with the CT's able to pick T's off if they want with scouts and of course no bottlenecks like Prodigy :D
