I have dug out the insim app that allows reset but gives a stop-and-go as a consequence of using it.
Currently set at 30 seconds to simulate damage repair time.
I seem to remember there were a few issues with it so it may or may not be used for Thursday's race.
So far, so good. Works a treat :thumbsup2:
good luck to all tonight:)
Good luck tonight. I'll be there next week.
Only 10 starters tonight so I thought all I have to do is finish. :) Seven finishers though and some misadventures by others gave me a 4TH! *Swoon. Mind you, even if I say so myself I was pleased with not making any tragic mistakes and kept up a steady if modest pace. Well done Dee. From what I heard in the headphones you and Seany had a corker! :D
A super race.
Qualified 2nd behind M@ (Matt, geddit?). The scrutineers didn't like his car so he couldn't make it to the main race. Even after a restart.
That meant I was promoted to pole position :D. Had a good start, Seany and CrazyR1 went grass-tracking on lap 1 which gave me some breathing space. That didn't last too long as Seany made some good laps and caught me up by lap 13 (19:00)
Lap 17 (25:00) Seany had a good run out of the right hander onto the bridge section. I did a Massa and moved over letting him up the inside to pass,
Seany pitted soon after that, I stayed out a few laps more. Made my stop on L25 (37:00), then exited the pits right in front of him, so close I thought we would touch . The battle continued right up to the last lap :boxing: great stuff!
Thanks to everyone for a great race. Bad luck to those that had problems.
well done dee & podium grabbers
Nice 4th ron :)
Any chance of the replay pls m8
Congrats Dee :yahoo:
A big :D for Ron too.
Well what a night.Had a good quali which had me on 4th then on the grid 3rd as pole dropped out.Good start and 1st lap till i followed Seany in some off road adventure & dropped back to last
Managed to get straight back onto a good pace and started catching the field and found myself having a good race with Doors until i found the grass again.
Following this 2nd off i decided to pit early and hope for a better 2nd stint. This went well with another great battle with Doors until he clipped a kerb(we all know what that does)Unlucky Ron.The rest of the race was hot lapping until comming into the last corner i ran out of fuel and stopped about 20 yards from the finish line:ranting2:
As this was the last lap it was decided that i was placed in 8th and pick up some points.Dont know if i deserved the points but thank you anyway gents.Well done Dee & Seany looked like a great race you had:)
Great combo.

The system has broken down  I have no idea why, but I only have the replay of the red flagged part. It's there if it's any use.
I had really no expectations for this one. I had had so much balet moves during the short races I was sceptical if I could finsih this one.
I had bit problems getting to rythm aready in qualfying. You know those moments when everything feels wrong...chair not at the correct height, keyboard in a wrong angle, flyes having sex on your monitor etc. Anyway managed to force myself to a decent mid 32s time, for which I was happy especially seeing that for the next place higher I would have been forced to improve my PB a lot.
In the race I dropped down some places at the first lap because I didn't dare to take the corners very fast and when challenged by someone, I felt safer to back off. I had some short moments of good racing in the beginning, but can't remember who they were :g: Mid race I had good racing with Ron and also Duckie. I only managed to overtake Ron finally when I decided to risk and go to the first uphill corner at a bit wrong angle.
I had no heating problems with tyres, so I decided not to change them, but I think this was maybe a wrong decision. I started to feel in the last part of the race that the grip is getting really bad at rear and I was sliding dangerously in the uphill section. So at one lap I lost it and ended upside down. No other way than to reset the car. Resetting also gives new tyres and even they were cold they felt much better than the worn out but green old tyres.
After all the sliding and stunt moves I ended 2 laps behind at 7th (iirc?).
Congrats to all who managed to bring the car home. And especially Dee. :)
Not a good combo for me.
It was my first experience driving the MRT and I'm not really a fan of Fern Bay. Struggled with various setups all week, not feeling comfortable with any of them. I decided on a race set that was more stable but was seriously lacking in the speed department in the vain hope that if I could keep it on track I might be better off. As it went I still screwed up and got a reset penalty
My aim was not to be lapped by everyone more than once, I failed :crying:
However, as it was a low turnout and other peeps had to retire I still managed 7th, so I am not too unhappy.
Congratulations to the podium and to Doorz as well.
I have a copy of the replay if anyone can think of a way to get it to Delankster.

Have pm'd ya m8 :)
What a race that was! For most of the hour I think Dee was less than 3 seconds from me. For most of the race I was right up his tail pipe. For anyone thinking maybe they can unnerve Dee with pressure...it wont work :D . I managed to get by him at one point, on the bridge, but then made a mistake at the last turn, allowing him to regain the position.
That turn seemed to be a problem for me, as I lost ground on most laps to Dee there. But then from the turn before the bridge onwards I would claw him back in. We had a bit of a breather between our pitstops but the battle was back on after we both completed them. On the last lap I got very close again and was contemplating another passing move up the bridge, but I got a bit of a wiggle on just after the series of right handers before the bridge and had a sandy excursion :).
excellent race and congrats to Dee on a fine win. :yahoo:

Sorry to drag up an old thread but what became of that app? Or to put it another way, can we use it again?

I'm on the case.:)

I've sorted it. Changed the penalty to 20 seconds SG. 30 was a bit harsh.
P.S. Works a treat.
