Title: CoD4 + F@H
Post by: Scratchy on July 26, 2008, 08:21:05 PM
I have been able to play CoD4 in both single & multiplayer modes until recently.
It may just be coincidence but since I have installed Folding@Home Gui version I have been unable to play in multiplayer mode.  The game seems to launch but kicks me back to the desktop & I have to use taskmanager to close it down - singleplayer mode still works.
I uninstalled F@H and the problem went away then came back when I reinstalled it, so I don't think it is a coincidence.
Has anybody else had a similar problem or have any advice?

I stop mine before any gaming. Someone posted the start/stops but mine is a batch file with
sc stop "FAH@C:+Program Files+Folding@Home+FAH504-Console.exe"
sc stop "FAH@C:+Program Files+Folding@Home2+FAH504-Console2.exe"

works fine here...

As people said, close it down before you game.
Happens in CoD4, BF2142, BF2.
